I'm very surprised Nebraskans put up such a stink over this bill! If a very conservative state has trouble with it, WTF are the states who really need this goin' to do???

Sessions of the unicameral are severely limited; this year they get to meet only 60 days (odd-numbered years, 90 days), and then they're sent packing back home.
The legislature's running out of time, with some important issues (tax cuts, what not) yet to be resolved.
A few of those 19 who voted to sustain the filibuster--it takes 33 to stop a filibuster--are machine Democrats from Omaha with a vested interest in manipulable vote-counts, but more of those 19 are senators who are aware of the clock (calendar), and since vote fraud isn't that big of a problem anyway, and want to hurry up and move on to the bigger issues.
It'll pass next year.
