Horse with no Name (1000+ posts) Sat Mar-28-09 05:15 PMOriginal message My sticky job today is removing wallpaper from a bathroom I'm already tired--and I am cranky.Any suggestions on how to make this dreadful job any LESS dreadful--or, to turn it into something that isn't going to take me the course of several hours or days to finish? Cuz I only have today and/or possibly tomorrow to strip it, texture it, paint it, sand the cabinets, paint them, install new Venetian bronze hardware and lay new tile.

I had purchased some commercial wallpaper remover called Dif.It sucks. Don't waste your money. I went to the Dollar Store and bought some generic fabric softener refill. Poured some in a bucket with hot water--and I am almost done. Thanks for the tip!

Somebody on HGTV compared wallpaper to tattoos It's very individual taste and usually a bad idea years later that is expensive and difficult to undo when tastes change.I've always loathed the stuff. I'd rather grout tile or do drywall than remove somebody else's ugly frigging wallpaper.
I believe you can rent a steamer to take wallpaper off more easily!
