DUmmies Demonstrate (Again) How Out Of Touch They Are
« on: August 18, 2009, 09:39:33 PM »
So the Vikings have finally signed Brett Favre. His annual agonizing over whether to play
another season has become boring and irritating. A player who rivalled Peyton Manning
has an example of the finest in sportsmanship and athletic accomplishment has
become an obnoxious caricature of what he once was. But no one can disagree that his
signing by the Vikings is earthshaking local news for the premier sports franchise in the region.
No one, but the DUmmies, whose Stalinist outlook has no room for popular culture:

WCCO, our Twin Cities CBS affiliate, broke into the
CBS Evening news about 20 minutes into the show for a freaking Brett Favre press conference. That carried into their local news a 6. The entire half hour of that local news program was absolutely nothing but Favre.

It's a freaking boys' game of ball. And they completely ignored everything else going on in the world to cover this washed up has-been's ill-fated return to playing football.

Something is desperately wrong with this. Something is terribly wrong.

What is terribly wrong is that this stupid DUmmy cannot understand something that
is very important to most of the normal people in the Twin Cities.

2. I know Jim Lehrer and the News Hour are available on your PBS affiliate.
If the Favre story is mentioned at all, they would spend about ten seconds on it.

12. True, but I watch the local news, because it's, well, local news.
It's my choice to do that, I believe. I watch a variety of news programs, you see...

4. Their web site had a video clip of his plane landing.
This went on for about 5 minutes. It was a nice plane (the Vikings' actually), but please esplain to
me why a plane landing is news just because there's some famous guy in it.

7. Actually it was the Vikings' owner's plane. Milf or Wilf or whatever his name is.
Another billionaire who's about to stick it to the taxpayers.
Thanks to that socialist Pawlenty.

Right. It's Milf. That's actually a pretty good post by DUmmy Raschel.

5. They all did it: KARE11 (NBC) and KSTP (ABC)
And I made a point not to turn into the local news at 5:00, not even for weather. Could not escape it.
Ended up watching the end of Blitzer. And even ABC said they were going to talk about it
MPR, too, had it in the head of the news and you know how the dailies will look tomorrow.

6. It's disgusting. And I see this whole Favre deal as a way to get a new stadium built by taxpayers.
Even in this economy big business and sports continue to suck taxpayers dry.
And conservatives cry socialism regarding health care.

9. Isn't that the guy whose name is spelled Favre, but is pronounced Farve?
Hey, I know NOTHING about football. Nobody in our family has much of a sports gene.

The only sports expert at the DUmp is DUmmy flyarm. Her husband broadcasts Orioles games and
helps her run Paypal scams with poor stupid Beth.

10. Never heard of him. nt

The DUmp wasn't this outraged when we had a week's worth of dead Michael Jackson.

They're ecstatic when the Jug-Eared Kenyan preempts regularly scheduled programming.

Pretty much every station in Chicago went wall-to-wall coverage when the Bulls won their titles, when Michael Jordan retired, when Walter Payton died, when the White Sox won the World Series....I could go on & on....

Sports are a big deal to a lot of people and it does inspire civic pride.

I have to agree to a certain extent. It's time Bret put it into the garage! For cryin' out loud, how can you play for the Vikings when they were your sworn enemies while wearing a Packer jersey? Is there no team pride with these guys?

I felt the same about Shanon Sharpe when he went to the Ravens because the Broncs wouldn't pay his outlandish demands for a salary when he was definitely past his prime.
I'm the guy your mother warned you about!
