How Did You Know About Nazis Fleeing To South America/Middle East?

It seems like almost everyone I know knows that Nazis fled to Argentina and South America. On the other hand, very few poeple know that Nazis fled to the Middle East, like Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. How did you know about Nazis fleeing to South America? I read about Nazis fleeing to Argentina and South America in books about zeppelins.

Through general study of WWII.  There was a Catholic Bishop who was handing out transit papers right and left to Nazi's and their families.

They brought a lot of cash into SA.
