It sounds good but without both houses behind him it won’t go anywhere unfortunately..
The federal government needs an overhaul but the deep state and politicians will fight any attempt to reform it
Apparently the DeSantis team is debating that very issue. One side suggests not to wait for Congress, given how slow and ineffective it is, but that practice (waging the president's significant powers) will certainly cost him some political capital. On the other hand, depending on the makeup of Congress after 2024, IF the RNC can somehow get its head out of its ass (not likely, given its "leadership" under Ronna McRomney) and take the Senate and increase the razor-thin margin in the House, DeSantis could very well opt for the politically-astute practice of trying to work with Congress for budgetary and other considerations.
But when it comes to organizing and staffing the president's own Cabinet, there shouldn't be any doubt who can wield the big stick. Yes, there will be lawsuits. But I can't imagine a judge not agreeing with the president as to what and how he can organize his own Cabinet and executive departments.
But I've been wrong before! In any event, I think this is a great start to solving a serious problem with the feds.
