Bill Maher ‏@billmaher

Is it treason to purposefully block any help for the economy so voters blame the president and turn to the other party? Just asking.

49. Nope

The definition of it is clear as day in the Constitution.

It may seem like it, but short answer...no.

50. Absolutely correct

Republicans have betrayed the American people, betrayed the trust given them by the electorate, and betrayed the spirit of the constitution. But that does not make them guilty of treason. It does, however, make them ass wipes and douchebags who should be voted out of office and forced to live -- without health insurance or pension -- in impoverished obscurity until they die of illnesses and painful conditions that a good health system could have alleviated.

Just a dream of mine!

Nice job of sucking up RVN VET.  Or shall I call you Ewe Too?

If it is, Harry Reid better make a run for the border.

If it is, Harry Reid better make a run for the border.

If it is then Obama better renew his Kenyan citizenship.

How many jobs bills have been sent from the House and are mouldering on the floor of the Sentate? When has the Senate proposed a budget? Who exactly is blocking any help for the economy?

I'm presuming you're referring to birth. If wrong, a BS is deserved.
That issue is long dead. It's a done deal.
I'm sure the DNC checked into that right off the bat.
Current issues are far more important.
Venturing off into unknown territory distracts from the what needs to be hammered home.

Bill Mahr is calling for 0bama's impeachment now? Is he going to ask for his money back?

Naah--Cindie's referring to Maher talking about "deliberately sabotaging the economy."  On another note, it really frosts me that that DUchebag is now a minority owner of the Mets. :argh: :censored:

Where in the Constitution are we afforded healthcare? How are we "forced" to live without it?

27. Wow

Maher is a comedian and this is hyperbole to make a point, but who knows how many people will take this literally.

These are the times in which we live: The news organizations are jokes and comedians have to be debunked.

42. Your opinion is pure socialism

 (To give another example.)

"Treason," "fascism," and "socialism" are my top three examples of words that seem to mean pretty-much whatever the speaker wants these days, they're just BadThingTM as understood by the target audience...

53. You left out racism

It's so overused, it has virtually no impact anymore, at least with me.

Is it treason to block agendas PROVEN to bring economic disaster if enacted, no matter what the "wizzers of smart" think?

Is it treason to block policies that have been tried from the first day man used shiny rocks to buy a beaverskin loincloth, and have YET to succeed, just to be tried again and again by the "wizzers of smart" expecting a different outcome?

Is it treason for a cable show host to call something "treason" because he has a double-digit IQ and a few million dollars, and everything he believes in is basically SHIT?

67. The Republican 80th Congress was nicknamed the "Do Nothing Congress" by President Harry Truman.
>snip<
Personally, I like that concept. :lmao:
I think we're far better off when they don't, do anything.

This from the same group who, in time of war, with troops under arms in the field, did everything they possibly could publicly to impugn the motives and methods of the entire chain-of-command, slander those on the ground fighting that war, and give moral aid and comfort to our enemies by anointing them as "freedom fighters" and attempting to excuse and deflect any blame from them as they committed their atrocities on U.S citizens.

And all of that is not opinion. It is fact backed up by an archive of ten years worth of internet blog posts, radio recordings, video records and print articles. Never before in any U.S. history that I am aware of has there ever been such a concentrated and sustained effort to undermine this country's aims and make the job of our troops more difficult and dangerous, all for raw political purposes. They make Jane Fonda's visit to North Viet Nam look like a Fourth Of July VFW rally.

I'm long past ready for a discussion of treasonous behavior in America.

No unless I'm mistaken the thread is about Bill Maher asking if it's treason to purposefully block any help for the economy. My comment, perhaps I should have prefaced it with Maher's words, but since the entire thread was about his tweet I figured we were all following along,  was how would they prove treason. The only comment I saw about 0bama's birth was a tongue in cheek response to "Harry Reid should run for the border". Back off about the birther stuff. You seem to be a bit obsessed.
