Oh my.

Ms. Ed, the unappellated eohippus, is upset.

In case anyone's forgotten, for the record, Ms. Ed was NOT for Pa Kettle during the Democrat primaries last year.

White House appears ready to drop 'public option'

This tells me MORE of how I will vote next time round than anything else out there. It's all about winning. Well let me clue you folks in Washington in about something--you will NOT win without the grass roots. You simply will not. So take your hollow victory that you are planning on and shove it up your ****ing asses. This is NOT what we voted for. This is NOT the mandate we DELIVERED to you.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_health_care_overhaul

>>>snip

WASHINGTON – Bowing to Republican pressure and an uneasy public, President Barack Obama's administration signaled Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance as part of a new health care system.

Facing mounting opposition to the overhaul, administration officials left open the chance for a compromise with Republicans that would include health insurance cooperatives instead of a government-run plan. Such a concession probably would enrage Obama's liberal supporters but could deliver a much-needed victory on a top domestic priority opposed by GOP lawmakers.

By the way, what's this blaming-the-Republicans thing?

Don't the Democrats control Congress, meaning they have the majority of votes, and so can pass whatever they wish to pass, without the help of Republicans?

That is so weird.

5. We will only be heard if the corporate media deems it necessary for us to be heard they would play the 20%'ers on a continuous loop, but if the rest of us hit the streets, it would be a virtual media shutout.

12. Therein lies the rub

we've ALL been gobsmacked.

Even those of us with insurance now will pay dearly for this failed debacle. I have no illusions that the $1.4 million per DAY that these robber baron insurance execs have poured into this fight won't be recovered after they win through our premiums and reducing our coverage. This isn't about taking care of the healthcare needs of Americans, it is about lining the pockets of the robber barons. The loss of this battle means that they have won the war for at least the next 20 years and we are ALL the spoils of war.

The juvenile primitive has a few comments, but never mind, not worth the trouble.

Corporate un-rec trolls?   :mental:

No corporate interest cares about trolling on a measly, tiny speck of insignificance like DU.

Ms. Ed knows about this, because Ms. Ed is paid something like twenty bucks by the abortion profiteers for each comment she makes enthusiastic about abortion.

She needs to supplement her $24,000 annual salary she makes as a full-time registered nurse doing a lot of overtime.

I've mentioned before the $25 fee I collect from the Scaifes for every mention of the jug-eared Kenyan. (Oops, I did it again!)
Anyway, they offer $15 for unrecs on DU, but i've always feared a mole trap, so haven't cashed in.
I notice that others have, especially on posts by DUmmy Husb2Sparkly and DUmmy Horse with no Name.

Ya it's silly cash, I made $250.00 on a Sunday just by hitting a few unrecs in GDP.   :-)!!

They should know by now that it is their side that pays protesters and trolls. Not ours.

She's only registered at the DUmp.

That's what Ms. Ed said, when she complained that her medical insurance premiums of $500 a month were 25% of her monthly paycheck; that comes out to an annual income of $24,000.

Of course Ms. Ed is lying; she's the biggest liar on Skins's island.

But what Ms. Ed is lying about hasn't been determined yet.

If Ms. Ed in fact is a registered nurse who works much overtime, she's lying about her annual income.

If Ms. Ed in fact earns $24,000 a year, she's lying about her occupation.

Flip the coin, to figure out what Ms. Ed is lying about.

They all exaggerate how much their health insurance is over there.  Remember the guy who said his was 1/3 of his paycheck?  Come on.  Mine is $220/month for me plus spouse, and it includes dental, scripts, and a low co-pay.  What the hell?

I was paying around $400 on COBRA for my daughter. When she came off COBRA, we had to buy a policy, because she's still in grad school, and we wanted her to have protection against pre-existing conditions. We had a choice of BlueCross/BlueShield policies that ranged from around $100 to a little over $1000 a month. If you have many expenses, though, they even out through their different deductibles and drug coverages. The less expensive policies are pretty much just catastrophic coverage.

Another thing about those skyrocketing rates, we are older. If you look at what you paid when you were ten, twenty years younger it isn't apples to apples. I got a big hike (15%)  at forty, forty five  and expect one at fifty. If you factor out those risk category hikes my insurance has hardly gone up more than inflation.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
