DUmmies Lament Slow Progress Of Communism
« on: July 23, 2009, 01:05:31 PM »
DUmmy goodboy, a pleasant lad with a perpetual scowl and a vulgar vocabulary, is upset at the difficulty the Kenyan is having in getting his first Communist social program through the Congress:

So who's fault is it if/when this healthcare bill tanks?

Blue Dogs? The President? Harry ****in' Reed?

We worked hard to get Barack Obama elected.

The American People rejected Republicans and their shitty ideas and policies.

The President had a mandate, and a majority.

Now he's got a super-majority.

Why should we compromise on anything? Who ****in' cares what republicans think?

We need a Democratic version of Bill Frist. Someone who drives the agenda, reigns in the Senate, gets shit done. Harry Reed is worthless IMO.

sorry.

on edit: I only use Frist as an illustrative example. I hate that ****, and everything he stands for.

DUmmy goodboy edited his post to include an obscene reference to former Senator Frist, upon noticing that damnable "unrec" feature had pushed him into negative territory.

6. I don't understand that. WHY are they afraid? What are they afraid of?
The repukes are doing what they always do, (after the American people handed them their asses) and the Dems are doing what they always do...catering to the repukes.

I don't ****ing get it.
DUmmy goodboy, in not getting it, is obviously on familiar ground here.
Why would anyone hesitate to demolish the finest health care system in the world, in favor of a communist model? Makes no sense to the
DUmp.

7. We are losing because of lies. republicans and big medicine...
lie constantly. Why aren't Progressives on the air calling out the lies and telling the truth? All I hear on TV and the radio are outrageous wingnut lies about a public option. Where are the Democrats talking about this?

Someone needs to get this to Keef and the carpetmuncher, and Big Ed and Tweety. Quick! They'll know what to do.
Fax it to Conyers and the Kootch!

9. it almost seems like monday morning quarterbacking at this point,
but I think there are some real legitimate questions that need answering. And they start with a giant, resounding WTF?

10. I just looked at my paycheck, almost one third of it: HEALTH INSURANCE (nt)

DUmmy goodboy cannot resist boasting that he receives a paycheck, and health insurance, thereby cementing the position of his post in negative "unrec" territory.

"We worked hard to get Barack Obama elected."

The only work they've ever done or will do.

"I just looked at my paycheck, almost one third of it: HEALTH INSURANCE" , one third for taxes, SS and the rest for my drug dealer.....we need to raise the minimum wage again.

Sometimes you just have to finish what they start.

I'm not buying the 33% of the check, are you?  Mine is 5.6% for me + spouse.  It's your standard issue Blue cross blue shield.  Nothing gold-plated, nothing chintzy.  If he has something similar, he would make $8K per year.  There are often state programs for people that poor.

One has no idea what the sensitive lad's up to, what sort of job he has.

My only connection with the sensitive lad in real life is that I met someone who once heard the sensitive lad pounding the keys of a piano, some sort of concert or something, and that person said the sensitive lad is actually a pretty good pianist.

It's a very odd case, that of the sensitive lad, who is about the same age as the maudlin waif primitive, "Mythsaje."  The maudlin waif primitive came from poor parents, while the sensitive lad came out of an affluent family.

The sensitive lad went to a high-class private piano-playing school, and did well.

The sensitive lad was probably on his way to Carnegie Hall when he got infected with politics.  For many of the primitives, getting political is much like getting gonorrhea or venereal disease; it infects, poisons, and ruins.

The sensitive lad for a few years worked in a musical-instruments store in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, and then got fired.  I disremember why he got fired, but he got fired.  And emulating his anti-hero franksolich (who however was never fired), the sensitive lad got a wild hair up his ass and went to the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants with free medical care for all, in his case one of the Baltic states.

The sensitive lad played the piano there, on the shores of the Baltic, for a while, maybe a year or so, and hung around some dubious characters who used and abused him.

At that point, I lost track of him until this past week, when the sensitive lad showed up on Skins's island again, allegedly living in southeastern Ohio somewhere, and working.  His wife/girlfriend/whatever is expecting an infant in some months.  I have no idea what sort of work the sensitive lad's doing, but it's reasonable to suspect it's not the greatest sort of work, lesser than professional piano-playing or selling musical instruments.

It's unfortunate the sensitive lad got infected with politics; better had he been infected with syphillis, as the damage to his potential would've been less.

He mentioned living near Wheeling, WV, in Ohio. I have some familiarity with that area. East Liverpool, Ohio, and its nearby neighboring towns have provided limited opportunities for concert pianists in recent times, even during the prosperous years of George W. Bush's presidency. I suspect that, in the current Kenyan malaise, East Liverpudlian virtuosos are in even less demand. There is, though, a market for fry cooks.

I have about 7% that comes out  for section 125, which includes my part of health insurance, dental, some extra optional life insurance and whatnot.  All of that is taken out before taxes. :)
