NY man guilty of hate crime in transgender slaying

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A jury on Friday convicted a man of manslaughter as a hate crime for killing a transgender woman he shot outside a house party last year.

Dwight DeLee was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter for the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Lateisha Green outside a Syracuse house party in November because of anti-gay bias. He becomes just the second person in the U.S. convicted of a hate crime that involved the death of a transgender victim.

The Onondaga County Court jury delivered its verdict after deliberating for about six hours over two days.

DeLee faces additional prison time because he was convicted of a hate crime.

DeLee was charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime. But Judge William Walsh told the jury that it could also consider convicting DeLee of manslaughter as a hate crime, as well as murder or manslaughter without the hate crime element.

Being trans myself,I know it is a risk to be who I am and live in this ****ed up world that has too many ****ed up assholes in it,but it shouldn't be a risk to life to be what you are!! Something is very evil about a person who would kill another person just because thier gender is not what biology says it was.

BTW I'm taking another step in my transition... Ovaries are coming out.They are a cystic mess, so with those out of the way maybe I can finally start T.It's strange how my body itself has it's say,regardless..even when people who could help don't and ignore me telling them what I need to feel alive in my own skin..

Seems there are more then 2 or 3 sexes out there.

Then there are the sexes that cannot except their body innage and live as the opposite sex to the point they want to match their body image to that of their mental image.

It becomes a problem for those who have a match between body and mind because there is all ways the question, [ What the heck are they doing that makes them happy that I am missing out on because ------Like eating at a fine restaurant and the table next to us ordered Oysters on the half shell.   Lord, I could never eat those slimy living creatures, and it disturbs me that they can with delight and pleasure]

That is discusting to me to watch, I just don't understand how anyone can eat Oysters. 

I hope you can see where I am going here.   A Hindi family seated next to me eating salad and bread sticks may gag on the smell of the steak I just ordered,  as I drool in anticitation for that rare piece of animal flesh to be placed before me, I look over at those very happy folks eating Oysters, I gag at the sight, the Hindi family gags at the sight of me eating cow, their God.

Different strokes for different folks, before we jump on others we need to understand that what we are doing is as difficult for others to understand as their actions are to us.

I read somewhere, maybe here, that bisexuals have one big advantage over normal people: When they slide their hand into someone else's pants, they're pleased with whatever they find.

But, as most normal people realize, "bisexual" is just a term used by people who are ashamed of being queer.

Nope, that is not how is works.  The natural state of humanity is heterosexual, otherwise there would be no reproduction and we would have died out long ago.   

The definition of a "freak" is "a person or animal on exhibition as an example of a strange deviation from nature."  Homosexuals, and especially transsexuals, are definitely a strange deviation from nature, and therefore freak is aptly applied.
