DID YOU KNOW ...
« on: March 24, 2021, 05:42:54 PM »
That today is "Chocolate Covered Raisins Day?" ...

And do you really care?  Ha! Ha! :-)  I think they are delicious, but far too many carbs for me.

I can't wait for a day designated to eating  "Pickled Pigs Feet", "Blood Sausages", & "Melton Mobray  Pork Pies." And yes I have eaten & enjoyed them all.  Is true.

But my two favorites of all would have to be ESCARGOT and LOBSTER!!!
Please pray for our country in these turbulent times ...

Since the restaurant known as “The Frog Lady’s Place” closed years, nay, decades ago, I haven’t been able to find worthy escargot anywhere around here, even in Galveston. Shellfish, in general, simply reflects the method of preparation. I prefer mudbugs.Cajun spices rule.

Bunny pellets look like raisins.

You have been warned.

Govern yourselves accordingly.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

For some reason, I can't remember what I ate in Galveston, but I can remember what I ate in Webster.  Lobster-thermidor was the big one.  Cajun crawfish, oysters, crab-legs...  I can't remember if escargot was on any of the menus, but that's more of a side-food to me.  In-support of a main-meal.

Hi ...

First off, thanks for the "puke" icon, didn't know we had one in here!

Do you not like garlic butter on anything at all?

I love it, especially when having escargot  stuffed into the shells & drenched in it.

Then again, I swear I could probably eat cardboard cut into small pieces, if cooked in the stuff!!!   :) :)

I like garlic butter just fine. Back when I was a little more adventuresome, I had frog's legs at the French Volksfest in Berlin. When you drown those things in butter and garlic, kinda takes the sting away. As George Carlin was wont to say, "What did they do with the rest of the frog? Put them on dollies and make them beg on the streets?"
