See my post elsewhere, where I have just now DUFUed Nadin's manifesto.
Co-host (with PJ-Comix) of the DUmmie FUnnies, both on Free Republic and at the DUmmie FUnnies' own blogspot.

67. You're still providing free content to DU.

If you're really serious about how you feel, you would refuse to post here until DU puts you on the payroll. Otherwise, you're simply feeding the "bully" machine, to use your term.

The entertainment value is priceless.

73. No, not really

I am following with a promise to the owners, that is all.

The bullies want me out of here.

70. Nadin, I never thought your situation pathetic until now.

76. Can I share?

I am quite amused actually by the reaction.

82. You're quite amused by which reaction?

The people bullying you?
The people defending you?
Both?

At this point most would say both.

pintobean (7,283 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 08:17 PM

86. Is she really being bullied?

I know she thinks she is, but this is basically yet another FU DU thread.

Quote
UnrepentantLiberal (7,777 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 09:06 PM

98. No she doesn't

Now she's throwing trash cans at DU for attention.

Quote
pintobean (7,283 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 09:13 PM

99. Lol. It's a pattern.

Been happening since I got here in '04, and it was nothing new then.

Quote
UnrepentantLiberal (7,777 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 09:45 PM

100. Since 04?

What's next? Put on an adult diaper and drive to Delaware to attack the DU servers with a baseball bat?

95. Oh but you've done good work it seems. To bad the option doesn't exist to comp you one as I'm sure you would have one by now...just for 'shits and giggles'.

Quote
nadinbrzezinski (111,633 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 08:53 PM

97. I am thankful the option no longer exists

And lord knows I bought many for others.

103. Goodbye

Enjoy the iggy list.

For the record, I would alert in a different world, but it is useless, so off to ignore you go.

106. It's a shame the option no longer...

available it was nice for to be able to give a star to someone(s) that otherwise wouldn't be able to have one.

I do hope admin reconsiders this option and allows it again. I enjoyed being able to that little bit for someone, it was one of my ways of paying forward kindnesses that have been shown to me.

I just renewed. I can't imagine not being in good standing.

104. What does adding to the balance sheet

Have to do with good standing?

Just curious, and you welcome.

I just don't feel like paying for the privilege of being harassed and stalked and verbally assaulted.

Renew Deal (55,237 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 10:28 PM

112. I can understand that

If you're not happy here, then you have to do what you must. I'm not going to be the one telling you that stuff doesn't happen. I saw someone marginalizing LGBT issues last week. And it wasn't new people doing it either.

Quote
nadinbrzezinski (111,633 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 10:38 PM

115. I promised Skinner I would no longer pay

For the privilege. So just following through.

I know it is symbolic, but read this thread. You will find plenty offensive posts including one that reads **** you. . Now the alert system is a joke as well, so that person is now in the ignore list. I no longer alert, nor participate in the jury system either.

But serious, read this...the who's who of the people who have been a problem for over ten years now, some of whom ended in mutual ignores in DU 2 are here.

Why I am following through with a promise.

A high posting member sans star should be a wtf moment.

120. "A high posting member sans star should be a wtf moment."

Nope.

But, then again, only someone extremely egotistical would think that their announcement that they will not buy a star on a website is somehow a "wtf moment".

Quote
zappaman (6,090 posts)   Tue Nov 13, 2012, 09:56 PM

105. Thank you for the reminder.

My star was up tomorrow and now I too am a member in good standing!

See, you actually contributed something!

And thanks for the reminder to renew.

You do have some uses.

Why is it I see this...

If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

Oh, to the contrary, I thought it was rather good.

It's rare that a primitive gets creatively artistic.

But all he did was replace one word with another.  He didn't change anything else about the song.
