Note to Republicans

Instead of banning books, you could try reading one - or two, if you're the adventurous type.

I've heard that some people actually learn something by doing so.

Just a thought - and while we're on the topic, you might give thinking a try, too.

If the book turns out to be kiddie porn, can I beat the withered old bitch to death with it?

No problem. I'll start with Uncle Toms Cabin, then Huckleberry Finn, then To Kill a Mockingbird or are these on her "these books are racist" list?
Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

Fahrenheit 451 and 1984 are two that Drunken Aunt Nance probably wants banned.

Might as well throw Animal Farm and Atlas Shrugged on that list too..

NanceGreggs is playing the Republicans Are Semi-Literate Knuckledraggers concerto, which I'm sure will be well received in the DU echo chamber. IRL, I expect that most members here read more books in 2021 - individually, not collectively - than Nance hicced her way through (and none starred Sam I Am or Horton! :rotf: ).
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

If the book is pornography in the school library I will ban it.
If the book is a text book telling my children they are bad because they are white than I will ban it.

Bottom line there are some books that are not good for children to see. Adults could handle it, but not kids.
The only one pushing unhealthy books like these are Lefties like you, Ms Greggs.

As listed above the hypocrisy of the Left stands out as YOU want to ban far more books than my side. Further the books you list are innocent of any crime.

Ms Greggs is the only fascist in this room.

I read a book a week, Nance.

I saw a sample of the book(s) in question.  It was a comic book.  In it, a young boy was unzipping the pants of another male of indeterminate age, preparing to give him a blow job.

This shit does not belong in school libraries.

Yup, was about to hop in with this.  The particular book that set this wave of protests off  is too graphic to be sold to minors, and has no business in a school library.  Public library, that's a different debate.

Fun fact, the group protesting it in VA made a tv ad about it, with the offending pics and words, and TV stations told them you can't show that on television.  At a school board meeting, a parent tried reading the offensive parts, and was told you can't say that at a public meeting with children present.  Yet somehow, the cognitive dissonance of Nance and other moonbats can't connect those dots.

Your odds of seeing someone actually learn something by reading a book, go up drastically, the farther you get from DU.

As to the thinking part, intellectual barbs from biology deniers carry little sting.

Do tell me more you communist DUchebag.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
