My letter to Yochi Dreazen at the WSJ, the author of the article:
Mr. Dreazen:
Thank you for your well-written article. You presented the facts in a compelling manner.
What is missing from this entire equation, however, is the Army’s singular failure in identifying the specter of islamofascism within the Army’s ranks and to draw attention to it as a central figure in Major Hasan's criminal activity.
Mr. West’s and Admiral Clark’s report/investigation notwithstanding, their failure to properly identify the true enemy here is appallingly obvious to anybody with half an ounce of brains.
Holding soldiers accountable for their actions is, of course, the military way. And Major Hasan’s previous supervisors have a role to play in the overall investigation, but the focus of the matter is not held where it should be.
The current administration’s coddling of Islam will not win friends and influence people, except to convince our enemies that the U.S. is a paper tiger.
How many more people will be killed before this egregious policy is reversed?
Sincerely,
XXXXXXX
