The Oprah movie mentioned is "The Butler".

Yeesh, I do not care for that orange purse.  And it wouldn't "go" with everything, and clash with most.  I've never been one for the super expensive handbags.  I carry a Ralph Lauren Chaps knockoff I found in TJMaxx.  It works.

Oh Dam it, reminds me of a BBC sitcom from the 80's called I believe Wheels on Fire.

Two woman in London that grew up in the 1960's.  20+ years later they are still friends but much different.   One becomes a business woman, the other is lost in time, still wears her hair in a bee hive, takes drugs and is insanely jealous of her best friend to the point she hates her friends daughter for coming between them.

Your comment reminded me of a skit where the business woman gets a spot for her friend on TV to advertise her latest line of clothing. The friend is some kind of designer.   

The friend is under some kind of drug and when the interview starts she is high as a kite.  She manages to set her hair do on fire when she lights a joint and just keeps saying, " No woman can have enough shoes or purses." 

Wonderful show, one of my favorites.
