That was funny!

Romney was in Omaha today, and probably drove right by the waterworks alongside the river there.

One wonders if the big guy showed up in a Peter Pan costume to be photographed with him.

I heard Steve Dawes showed up in his Peter Pan costume, but the Secret Service turned him  away. Something about "Peter Pan didn't have a neckbeard", or "Peter Pan didn't wear a stuffed codpiece", or "Peter Pan didn't smell like other people's poop". Reports varied.

I must stick up for Steve here. He smells better than other people's poop.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Now, I've never been inside a sewer plant, so I don't know what I'm talking about here.

I imagine it looks and smells cleaner on the inside than it does from the outside, at a distance.

I've always "pictured" the big guy sitting in a small room with meters and gauges on the walls, and levers and buttons on his desk, watching them to be sure something doesn't blow.  And of course while sitting there, hanging around with the primitives on Skins's island.

I dunno, but that's the way I "picture" it.

I've been in a few of them, because we do appraisals on them for municipalities whose land they're on (if we're there, it's not the same muni that built them).  There's a couple of places that an "operator" can be along the way.  I've been in one for the NYC Board of Water, in the Catskills, that the entire plant is inside the same building--it's a big building, but it's built in a valley, and it's difficult to see form the NYS route that's nearby.  If everything is running properly, an operator could become bored . . . and hang with the primitives on Skins' Isle, I would guess.

To elaborate further--I wish I knew what I was talking about; I wish someone here had worked in such a place before--I "picture" the Omaha waterworks, outgoing section, to be a whole lot of great big boilers, maybe partially underground, where the raw sewage is cooked, or boiled, so as to remove possible contaminants before it's released into the Missouri River.

And the big guy's job is to keep watching the temperatures inside those boilers, to be sure one doesn't blow.

Anyone's free to correct me here.

I have a vote magnet that pulls votes from liberals to and delivers them to e-vile Rethuglicans. Usually I only set it for about 5% at the most but I'm upping it to 94.3% in OS's case. Just for fun.

A few more days, and we can watch a gravy-train wreck.
Will Chief Bawling Buffalo, the wonder-weeper of Omaha, cry on the 16th, 17th, or 18th?
Self avowed socialist Steve Dawes is in for a rude awakening.
Who will he blame for his catastrophic loss?

Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Well, I know what can be blamed.

The very first day the big guy announced his candidacy on Skins's island, franksolich stepped forward to volunteer his services as the big guy's campaign manager.

Did the big guy pay any heed to franksolich?

N-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o.

The big guy would be happier than a pig wallowing in wet mud, if he'd listened.

Us?  He's got to blame someone--he certainly can't man up and take responsibility, or something like that. :whistling: O-)

Well, I see this morning there's an article in the Omaha World-Herald about the city council races in Bellevue.  But I couldn't see if the big guy was quoted in the story.

The rich greedy Democrat Warren Buffett bought the Omaha World-Herald a few months ago, and apparently decided to charge we 99% for the news.

Thanks, but just listing the big guy's name as one of the candidates, and nothing else, is hardly a "mention."
