Kinda sad really, blames everyone but the man in the mirror.
Are there any networks left where Keeef hasn't burned his bridges?
Hey DUmmies just a little reminder, once again Keef is on the unemployment line, and Rush still has his job.
Update: The Political Math guy tweets, “If you play Olbermann’s career in reverse, it’s the story of a jobless man who rises from a lowly Internet channel to a prime-time talk showâ€.
"The nation that couldn’t be conquered by foreign enemies has been conquered by its elected officials" odawg Free Republic in reference to the GOP Elites who are no difference than the Democrats
Response to rsmith6621 (Original post)Fri Mar 30, 2012, 03:03 PM hlthe2b19. I'm reminded of an old adage from school days: "too smart for your own good..."Last edited Fri Mar 30, 2012, 03:35 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)I HATED that, since it was quite often used against girls to keep them "dumbed down," IMO. Nonetheless, when someone's advanced intellect gets in the way of professional relationships, perhaps there is some small point... I'm very sorry to see this happen, even though I've had no access to current except the rare occasions there was a working internet "stream." I wish Al Gore and Company all the success in the world, but I am saddened.
Who is this Keith Olberman? Sounds like a real jackass.
I'd like to thank Al Gore for inventing the Internet so we could mock @KeithOlbermann after he fired him. #LMAOlbermann
Please cancel your subscription to @Current and/or boycott advertisers until @KeithOlbermann is rehired. PLZ RT! #p2 cc @algore
Glad I respect Cable TV News as much as I respect midget porn. Otherwise I'd be pissed about this @KeithOlbermann thing.
@keitholbermann @sportscenter called. They want you back! Oops, April fools day is Sunday. #mybad
@KeithOlbermann a shame. It will be a sad time in this country, especially in an election year, without your voice to balance the vitriol
So..@limbaugh is still on the air and @KeithOlbermann is gone>Lovin' it!.
@KeithOlbermann I just heard the news. What on earth happened this time?!
If life was like the WWE @KeithOlbermann would turn heel & go work for Fox News then on his new show demand to fight Al Gore in a cage match
BREAKING: @KeithOlbermann leaves CurrentTV to shout at people on the street, audience triples
On Skin's island Antonin Scalia is ignorant and Keith Olbermann has an advanced intellect. Lurking DUmmies, I come to CC to see exactly this type of post hlthe2b has made, not because I'm stalking you. Exactly this kind of gem right here.
What's that homosexual network? He might fit in there.
Kieth Olbermann blocked me from his twitter feed after I suggested that he find a pair of glasses that actually fit his giant head.
If Current TV wants an audience they need to give Rush or Pat Buchanan a show.
Ian David38. If I win the lottery tonight, I'm buying Keith his own damn network. n/t
nedbal116. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation,..........http://theclicker.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/30/10945071-current-tv-fires-keith-olbermann According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, that dispute was part of a larger chain of errors by Olbermann, who was fired for a "serial, material breach of his contract" such as the failure to show up to work, sabotaging the network and attacking Current. That individual said Olbermann missed 19 of 41 working days during January and February and asked for vacation the night before Super Tuesday, giving the network "strong legal foundation" for dismissing Olbermann.
FedUp_Queer53. I suspect...It is because the network wants partisans (though I've never watched it, so I don't know...I'm just speculating), and Olbermann is not a partisan. Or...he's just a jerk.
whathehell118. He's taken more days off than anyone on the air I can think of...The throat absences were just a small part of it I've always been a big fan, but he seems to have serious issues when it comes to jobs and "playing well with others".
The throat absences
Response to grasswire (Reply #17)Fri Mar 30, 2012, 06:24 PMSamantha114. I have thought that all along when recent criticisms cropped upThis is a middle-aged man who has been hit with two devastating top ten stressors within a reasonably close amount of time. It was also obvious before it was publicly announced that he was having health problems. I noticed it a lot but didn't post any questions because I thought it would just give rise to a lot of negative comments about him when that was the last thing he needed. I am simply devastated by this news. I really like Elliot Spitzer, but Keith Olbermann is a one of a kind. People make fun of his huge head, but he had a huge brain that needed a lot of room. A detractor recently mentioned "no one is irreplaceable" but Keith Olbermann is. There is no one else like him. As for his personality downsides, people with a heck of lot of smarts and high standards tend to expect too much from others. In other words, they can't measure up to his same standards, and he doesn't understand why. As far as his problems with MSNBC, I thought they were justified. I really like some of the hosts there, but with the Comcast merger, there was definitely a change in philosophy. I turn on MSNBC and see a Republican sitting there that I absolutely have little tolerance for, and I always think the same thing -- if I wanted to listen to these people, I would watch FOX news. So I switch off. Something tells me I might not ever enjoy seeing Keith Olbermann in an anchor seat again any time soon, and that is extremely disappointing to me. I thought I would really enjoy listening to him during this election season, and I can't think of anyone else who can match him. Sam
bluedigger48. Poor Keith.Maybe Dan Rather will take him in.
SamG77. I agree that's often the case butI think it will take a few weeks or longer before we learn all the details of this from both sides. We have to wait, unfortunately. The real facts WILL come out.
