Nutjob nadin gave him awful advice on how to answer, or else he relied on his own woeful intellect.

www.electstevedawes.com

If the big guy's relying upon nadin, which he probably is, well, my speculations on this race have changed.

Formerly, I'd thought he'd come in third, after the two (R)s, given that the big guy does talk a good talk.

But if nadin's in the mix, it looks to be dead last.

nadin knows nothing about Nebraska and Nebraskans.

Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska for decades have held the honors of being the most literate states in the union (although Iowa's been slipping ever since that state became less red); Nebraska's nothing at all like that third world country in which nadin was part of the 1%, and nothing at all like San Diego with its congestion and chaos.

People are different here, and we're nothing as nadin can possibly imagine.

It's reasonable to assume the two (R) candidates and the (L) candidate are doing most, if not all, of their work themselves.....especially the (L) candidate (the incumbent (R) has an office staff associated with his business, and the other (R) candidate is a long-time former city employee with friends willing to lend a hand).

But essentially, these three of them are doing most of their work themselves.

Now there's the problem.  Getting the Big Guy to do something for himself.

Just read that. He deliberately avoids any question that would mark him as a flaming socialist.
This is now a public service: http://electstevedawes/

This one really shows how he feels

He's a fatass LIAR.  On his views on the Constitution...the fat ass KNOWS about and READS a website called marxist.org.

That should sum up his views on the Constitution just fine.

He would have been miles ahead to lie through his teeth and answer those questions as if he were a normal patriotic American.

www.electstevedawes.com

The big guy's answers on the Constitution and abortion are likely turn-offs.

Abortion's not a "hot button" issue, but it is a "warm button" issue in Bellevue (and Nebraska as a whole) this year.

By refusing to answer that the big guy of course has indicated that he's enthusiastic about abortion.

As for the Constitution, please compare the answers of the other three, with the big guy's.

People in Bellevue (and in Nebraska) take the Constitution seriously, and the big guy's flippant non-answer betrays that he doesn't.

Too bad for the big guy.

Again, compare the big guy's answer with the answers given by the other three candidates.

Voters in Bellevue (and Nebraska as a whole) like to know this stuff.

By flippantly saying in so many words, "it's not important in this race or for this office," the big guy's stance indicates he's anti-family.

Now, of course the big guy has a family and familial feelings--but that doesn't come across in his non-answer.

This is my current take on the four candidates; remember, conservativecave has no connection with three of them, only with the big guy--and so as a consequence, none of us know anything at all about the other three candidates.  If we ran into one of them on the sidewalk, we and the candidate wouldn't have the slightest idea who each other are.

Speculatively:

--the incumbent (R) probably has the office secretary lick and apply postage stamps to campaign material.

--the challenging (R) probably has his wife lick and apply postage stamps.

--the (L) candidate probably licks and applies postage stamps himself.

--the big guy's sitting around, hoping for somebody else to do it for him, and if no one does it for him, it's not going to get done.

Lardass's post about demanding taxes on unborn children show what he thinks of "family"...what he really meant instead of "unborn" was "unaborted".

I think his answers say, "None of your business."

That's never a good answer for a politician.

Uh huh.

The other three candidates seem to think differently than the big guy.

Of course, the other three candidates have lived in Bellevue far longer than just a couple of years.

Hey Gina, we're not sure from that picture that underwear is even being worn.

That answer to the Constitution made my eyebrows shoot up in shock and surprise.  As a voter, if I read that I'd go, "WHAT?  Whoa, this guy is up to no good."

The whole side-stepping with his LOCAL issues drivel made him look very sneaky and suspect.  What are you up to?  Why do you want this job?  Those are the kinds of questions running through voters minds, especially in this political climate, where a lot of people feel duped by the messiah and other sleazy politicians.

Does anyone live near this area? Can one of our guys/gals show up and if they have a debate/press conference bring some of this shit up?

There just happens to be an abortion clinic/doctor there in Bellevue and it might be in Ward 1. It gets picketted every weekend by at least two people in Bellevue. The doctor that runs the place has cause so much furor over what he has done business wise that Council Bluffs Iowa was considering a ban on him opening a new office there.

Yeah, Carhart, the Tillman wannabe, king of the infant-killers.

Both are, or rather one is and one was, a disgrace to a profession charged with preserving life, not destroying it.

I think it is in the first ward, and I have no doubt the big guy's enthusiastic about it, although hardly anyone else in Bellevue is.

He needs to move his abortion factory out of a red area into the deepest blue part of Omaha.

Lame OS. Very lame. The current city hall doesn't need to be replaced just to satisfy some need to help your union friends out. Also that gun store your whining about was there for at least 15 years and the day some BBQ place makes more cash then a gun store then I want to see the menu and ask where in the **** they get thier meat.

No shit! If he wants to help out his constituents, he should do his best to get the gun store back, and give 'em a rebate on new weapons!

I see OS fails to mention that the attempt to preserve the Indian Hills movie theatre ended in failure because the city of Omaha sat on its ass long enough to let a very well known hospital get the building demolished before they could vote to get it on the historical registry. Dispute promises made by the hospital board to preserve some parts of the theatre because of the historic and rarity of the equipment inside they went ahead and destroyed the building as a whole to get thier parking lot.

The big guy's actually got two problems on the first page of google search.

Well, true, www.electstevedawes.com should be no problem although the big guy seems to think it is.

His DU Journal keeps coming up on the first page too, and that's a big problem for the big guy.

He should deep-six it.

What is the count today?

I just asked the friends of Steve Dawes about that.

If I interpreted their jargon correctly, it looks to be about twice as many hits on Sunday (yesterday), as had been the preceding Sunday.

For obvious reasons, the big guy's friends don't want me to release the actual numbers, because it might make their buddy the big guy feel badly when he compares www.electstevedawes.com with his first site.

His friends want him to be upbeat for the fund-raiser this coming Wednesday evening.
