Yikes, Alex Baldwin charged with 2 counts of involuntary manslaughter!!!! [View all]
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/01/alec-baldwin-shooting-charged-rust

For those of you not in the know, liberal icon Alec Baldwin shot and killed a cameraperson on the set of a film.

Now, of course, if it was anyone remotely on the right, he would be charged by DU with multiple murders, racism, sexism, and probably transphobia. Kyle Rittenhouse (pbuh) killed two lunatic freak pedophile/woman beaters and injured a third, then acquitted of murder charges by a jury of his peers, yet DU calls him a "murderer" on a nearly daily basis. So you'd THINK that would imply at least a tongue-cluck from DU. NOPE!

15. There is someone on set who has the job of making sure firearms are safe.

It isn't the actor's responsibility. They aren't trained for that. The weapons masters are.

Unless it's a republican, you mean.

Said New Mexico was chosen because a non-union crew could be hired. Also, the producers decided to further cost costs by allowing the armorer (I believe that's the term for gun handler) to double up on other prop duties, something a union set would have never allowed. She likes Baldwin. But also points out that Baldwin was one of the producers.

If they do dispose of Baldwin, using non-union monkeys will be why. Not homicide.

To be fair, SOME DUmmies are calling the charges appropriate. Yet again, were he a Republican, they'd call for his execution tomorrow.

Alec Baldwin was a producer of this movie and certainly carried a firearm in some of his past movie and/or TV roles. It was his own negligence that caused this.

A bit surprised DUmmies haven't claimed that President Trump put the live ammo in the gun. :whistling:

What a gross oversimplification.

Gee, why didn't the prosecutor think of this? :whatever:

I see that additional support from Nincom-Poop, Embecile and, and Dunce has joined the fight.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with a western being filmed and needing a 'western' looking environment to film it in.

I suppose these big brains think it should have been shot in NY city...

:thatsright:

Oh, and someone remind me, what color is new mexico, red or blue?

I think the irony in all this is unlike my AR15 and AR10 the 1873 Colt 45 SAA was actually used in multiple wars making it an actual weapon of war.  :rotf:

37. Is this the same Alex Baldwin

Who was arrested for assaulting someone over a parking space just a few years ago? Or the same one who screamed at and berated his daughter on candid camera? Or the one who accosted a flight attendant? Punched several reporters over the years? Made Kim Bassingers life a living hell?

I don’t care if Trump hates him. He’s not a nice guy and when you shoot and kill someone, even by accident, you SHOULD be charged.

Are these the same people that keep insisting that Sarah Palin is responsible for Jared Loughner shooting Gabby Giffords?

The Screen Actors Guild said guns are provided to actors by expert professionals who are “directly responsible” for safety.

They may be responsible for safety but the bullet belongs to the one holding the gun.

Just like if you shoot in the air and the bullet kills somebody you are responsible..

Has anyone read or heard what the distance was between Baldwin and the person killed behind the camera?

Even a "blank" can kill a person in a certain range depending on cartridge size and amount of propellent.

The whole union/non union thing kills me. Somehow these people think Union members are more knowledgeable or something. Like they equate it to college.

I’ve worked union and non union. I FAR prefer the non union side. I make more money with equal benefits non union. I mostly made more money because the union wasn’t stealing my money.

Their big ‘sell’ was they offered vacation pay. They take money out of your check and hold it for you and when you get laid off they give it to you as vacation pay. Seriously.

I can save my own damn money, thank you. What that taught me is that the union is selling themselves to morons who can’t take care of themselves.

OH, and the kicker, I was told by union members I needed to slow down because the job we were working on had to last to August because the next job didn’t start until then. No lie.
