Crosby was the most worthless member of CSN. Stephen Stills and Graham Nash had much better musical skills of that trio, and during that period when they added Neil Young he put them all to shame...other than his screeching voice.

Many folks often ridicule Ringo Starr as the weak link of The Beatles. But Ringo is has more talent in his left pinkie than that David Crosby ever did. And guess what, Mr. Starr is still alive while that corpulent Crosby guy is sleeping with worms.

David Crosby was a very talented musician/song writer but he was not the best of people.  Graham Nash wasn't very fond of Crosby and I believe Neal Young didn't think much of him either. That being said. I enjoy listening to the music he made as a part of the Byrds (who asked him to leave the band) and Crosby, Stills, Nash and sometimes Young.

The most smug and assholish photo I've ever seen of him was in Rolling Stone.  He was the baby daddy for Melissa Etheridge's baby.  The three of them sat on the floor, him with that huge gross walrus mustache and his feet were bare (YEEECH) and he was mugging into the camera like he'd actually accomplished something.

CSN & CSNY (a little bit of the Byrds as well) were part of my learning about music as a child in the '70's and '80's.

This attitude and outlook is what separates us from leftist/liberal/DUmp scum. We dont do the whole "100% love, or 100% hate" that the scum are so fond of. We can separate the person, in this case a musician from the music and look at at other factors.

I could rattle off a list, but wont..

Plenty of Musicians who I think have horrible politics, but I enjoy the music.

Plenty of Musicians who I think are clearly talented, but dont care for the music.

Then there is the other lot. Musicians who I think have no talent, have horrible politics, and just suck at being a human. Bruce Springsteen comes to mind.
