Do not be concerned about the spell casters. Our remote sensors have detected them. As I mentioned in another thread a full team of fictional spirit-guides are on the job with spell deflector shields. These are the model A1 shields that are portable and only deflect the spell. By November the R&D department has promised to have the model A2 shields available. The A2 not only deflects the spell. It also reflects the spell and focuses it on the spell caster's own candidate. The Rovian Skunk Works boys do great work,

If this remains to be true until 90% of the voting count is in. Then I wash my hands of the state of Wisconsin and it enters my shit list like Florida and Michigan.
Disappointing. For those of the labor and Dems and people who did vote Dem in Wisconsin. Move out of the State. Obviously you are overwhelmed by horrible and misguided people.

So you want me to believe that exit polls show 50/50, yet it gets called at 60/40 with 25% in and the turnout is huge!???
I have seen reports on MSNBC stating large turn out in Repub areas, with empty rooms behind the reporter.
I have heard reports of huge turnout in Milwaukee yet not one single media report showing large lines or no lines.
I must admit, something smells.
On edit, and Obama supposedly wins by 11% in exit polls, so a ****ING HUGE percentage of voters cast a ballot for Walker and plan on voting for Obama in November?????!!!!!

Scott Walker won the recall election not because voters approve of him. Rather because some voters don't think recall elections are a good idea. 10-15% of Democrats probably voted for Walker even though they do not support him politically because they think "we have elections every 2 years and this is adequate." Unfortunately, it will be interpreted as political support for Walker.

The Democratic party needs to make a hard turn to the left
The results tonight show the strategy of the leaders of the Democrats aren't working, being wishy-washy and mushy isn't going to inspire anyone. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to the powers that be, otherwise I fear we will be saying hello to President Romney come November. This is a disaster, and its time for the Democratic leadership to change course, hard.

3. I did
Was flying out of Milwaukee this afternoon and spoke to a young black man who works at the airport. Asked him who he voted for and he said WALKER and, after I picked myself up from off the ground, I asked why. He said he was raised to not take handouts (so, OK, his entire family has bought the crapola) so I explained to him that the Rethugs were out to take everything away from him and that I really like my SS check each month and did he really think he would ever get HIS SS check at an older age? He looked stymied and provided no answer but to reiterate that he was taught to never take "handouts". I also explained that it was the Dems that had a long history of helping people like me/him and not the Repubs. Then I asked him if he voted Obama in '08 and he said yes and that he will also vote Obama in November. So yes, Virginia (and Wisconsin) YOU CAN BUY AN ELECTION.

. . your 'smeller' is off tonite. I flew up to Milwaukee last Wednesday to visit my son/family and returned to Florida today. I am FROM Milwaukee and deeply Dem. I am sick about what is happening to my state and my son up there. And I am equally sick about our Tea Party guv here in Florida. I usually just read DU (have been for over a year now) but I actually signed in tonite to tell my airport story. We are all very upset with the results and I understand your response. After speaking to the young black guy I went over and told my husband about our conversation and he just shook his head. I was blown away by his answers. So, call me a troll if you must but my heart is with all the folks at DU and in Wisconsin. I was very happy to find this site and read it every day.

Is DU inside a bubble?
Is our view of reality distorted by our preconceptions?
Do we have an unrealistic picture of what the American people really want?
I don't think so!
I believe that the fault is ours and ours alone. In this era of mass marketing we at fault for our lack of focus, message discipline and education of the public. We roll over and let the Republicans frame the issues, and call the shots at every turn. Democrats are weak, lilly-livered cowards, and the Republicans know it. They know perfectly well that they can wipe their muddy boots on our faces and we won't complain. We are probably getting the very ass-kicking we deserve!
They say that in the long run the people gets the government they deserve. I guess that the Democratic party is getting the results they deserve.

Why is it easier to blame Obama for the 'loss' then to believe that they stole the election?
Obama did jack shit when it came to supporting the Wisconsin revolution, they didn't need him or his support.
There seems to be a concerted effort, articles already written, to manufacture the idea that Walker won and it is all Obama's fault.
Anyone else notice how organized the effort is for us to just accept this and blame Obama?

They're starting to get into the healing light and good vibes over there, now.
Little back-pats and hugs, telling each other how well they lost by a big margin.
I'd feel sorry for them if I wasn't laughing. :lmao:

Your problem, DU, is you completely misunderstand the character of America. You're so busy throwing around phrases like "voting against their own interest" (what you REALLY mean is voting against YOUR interests) that you don't realize the majority of the country isn't like you. Even people who aren't political junkies and many of those caught up in that whole "hope & change" bullshit have an inherent understanding of American exceptionalism. Americans love hard work...I don't feel like getting up everyday and walking fence lines, cleaning coops, processing meat birds, etc. but when all is said and done, I love seeing what I've accomplished and take pride in what I do. And so do the majority of Americans, whether it's the kid working at his first job at the gas station or the 70 year old Walmart greeter who'd rather get out of the house and do something worthwhile with his time.
We're pround that we're not like everyone else (that's what it means to be exceptional), we don't want to be Greece or Spain or even England. We understand there aren't enough "rich" to pay for the freebies you think we're supposed to want because YOU think you're entitled to them. Good, Lord, you're even so ****ing ridiculous you think the rich have "stolen" from you. Eventually the majority of the burden will be borne by the middle class, anyway. We don't want to be so soft, weak and dependent that when the handouts finally break the back of the government all we can do is throw a tantrum in the street & set things on fire out of impotence and rage. It simply can't be any other way and anyone with half a brain can figure that out. We don't even want to be beholden to a big impersonal government that, as Thomas Jefferson said, "a government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have..."
We've made that clear over and over again, the most recent example being the health care legislation. Poll after poll after poll shows 70% of the country is opposed to 0bamacare. Even while it was being written the leftist in the government had to pass it in the dead of night after many bribes (wonder if Stupak is really upset about voting for abortion). You guys even had a majority congress. Before the vote was taken, the country tried to speak out again by Scott Brown's election. But not one of the Dems in congress cared. Nancy Pelosi even tried to duplicate the gavel walk, except it wasn't a profound and moving moment, instead she looked like an arrogant hag. And the black congressmen who participated should be ashamed of themselves, sullying a memory of such a significant event. And the country still hates 0bamacare. Now it's gone to the Supreme Court and if their questions are any indication, they have the same objections to it that the rest of the country does.
When people object to some legislation 0bama proposes or his poll numbers are incredibly low, you cry racism. It's easier than accepting the truth that people simply don't want their country to fall off the cliff and embrace socialism. You can't accept that we like our independence. It has nothing to do with skin color...except who wants to be like the poor minorities on your inner city plantations who, for generations now, have forgotten how to take care of themselves. Everyone in the country understands how sad that is and those of us who still control our own lives don't want to end up that way. Granted, I'm surprised American had a "stupid" moment and elected a half time senator who hadn't even served a full term, completely unvetted and who thought he could make the oceans to recede. But I'm betting buyer's remorse is going to be bigger than any of us can imagine. Romney's proving to be much less wishy washy about taking the fight to 0bama and the boy king has no defense for where he's take the country.
While you guys sit there believing you're better than everyone else in this country, mocking our patriotism, our traditions, our love of our military, our flag, our symbols, our national anthem, our conservatism, I pity you. You're so insecure you can't handle it when other countries make fun of us. Mostly, they do it out of jealousy, there hasn't been a nation in the history of the world that has been this successful in this short amount of time...even 0bama, for all his trying, can't bring it to it's knees, you take it personally. The rest of us wear it as a badge of honor. You're so wrapped up in your "sameness" (which somehow you've twisted into thinking is progressive) and your deepseated insecurity because you aren't exactly like Europe, well some of it is sheer laziness, that you're truly incapable of seeing the beauty and opportunity this nation provides. Immigrants, well make that LEGAL immigrants, to this day come here with nothing just for the opportunity and the dream of America. But by all means, carry on...at least you're good for a laugh. Whiners!

Auserity is why Walker Won
at least that is what the MSM is reporting this AM ...they are highlighting the fact Walker took a deficit and made a surplus with no tax increases.
Of course they spend no time explain how he did it and the damage it will cause in the long run.
Well one has a few choices now and the best thing people can do in America right now is to start stocking up on guns, ammo, food, fuel, water, medical supplies, etc...
Things are going to get really ugly fast and people best be prepared.

1. .
let me tell you what happened:
the private sector has been crushed even though corporations are reaping record profits and the rich get to keep their bullshit taxcuts.....so the private sector employees outside of OWS look at people who have a modicum of benefits and respect left in their employment and instead of fighting to keep or get back that which they deserve, they act like children and scream WHY SHOULD *THEY* HAVE WHAT I NO LONGER HAVE. This is a hateful conservative teabagging WET DREAM where the workers are all fighting amongst themselves while the 1% reap ALL the rewards we have ALL lost, while all the political HACKS who work for them and the ****ing teabagging ignorant rat bastard fox news fans who believe every piece of SHIT propaganda they hear CHEER THEM ON
And then...
...a brief moment of clarity:

4. Not quite...
The question is if they want to pay more taxes so that someone else will have a better circumstance than they have.
Altruism is fine til it hits your own pocketbook. I wonder why they can't be given credit for voting where their economic interests lie. I am not sure the argument that was being made, namely that union benefits influence private sector benefits rings true as people realize hardly anyone has a pension anymore and it's not likely they will.

4. Would I be reading this website if I wasn't trying to help?
<snip>
Doing protection spells on candidates we think most likely to be cursed by Christian spellcasters or victimized by electoral skullduggery, using campaign photos or posters for focusing devices. These spells are the magical equivalent of providing bodyguards.
Doing revelation spells on major criminal suspects in our state capitols.
Focusing energy on polling places in our states (or other swing states) to make sure that all votes are honestly and successfully cast and counted. These spells are the magical equivalent of looking over the poll workers’ shoulders.
Two points based on the bolded sections
1) Christian spell casters cursing democrat candidates...
What? Where did that come in? Casting spells is forbidden to Christians. And why would God curse a person based merely on politics? This is pure fantasy.
--DUmmies need a villain even if they have to make one up outa thin air.
Here is a clue. A praying man is not spell casting. He can ASK God for something, but God has the full option to say, "No." Prayers are petitions, not spells.
2) Focusing energy on polling places in our states (or other swing states) to make sure that all votes are honestly and successfully cast and counted.
There is the flaw in your 'spell." You asked for the "honest votes to cast and counted. You should have been protecting the union fraud votes as that was your only hope of victory. Your poor choice of words ensured Walker's victory.
The Bottom Line: Your spells are weak and ineffective in the light of truth and democracy.

Attention Trolls! You think that your day isn't coming,

but you're wrong.
And don't come here whining when it does.
Yeah, because the first thing I do when anything bad happens is I jump on the internet and whine at the DUmp.
:whatever:
When you lose your job or your business goes belly up and you're on the verge of losing your home and family.
Oh, you mean like now? During the reign of your paper messiah? Please, dumb blonde bitch, we knew what barry big ears was and what he would do so we planned accordingly. It's been a painful three years, make no mistake, but we were ready while you stood outside waiting for your pony.
Don't come here crying when a loved one with no insurance becomes ill and has no way to pay and can't' obtain treatment.
Doesn't happen in America, stupid, because that's illegal. Refusing to treat someone because they don't have insurance is the quickest way for a lawyer to turn a poor person into a very rich one. Pull your head out of your ass and get some fresh air, the propaganda won't have nearly as much effect if you aren't sniffing your own waste.
Don't cry when your house burns down because the FD has been cut to bare bones and you got no response.
What are you talking about? Most of us don't live in Detroit.
Don't come here to bitch when your kid is in middle school and can't read because teachers are paid the rates of fastfood workers and no longer give a shit if Jonney can read.
The public school indoctrinators are being paid a kings ransom right now and they still don't give a shit if "Jonney" can read. I don't see any real problem in you scenario, a majority of them don't do shit now so why not pay them less? At least their pay will reflect their output and the taxpayers will get some relief while they figure out a better solution.
Don't say you didnt know or that you didn't think it could ever happen to you (cause, you're too smart. Right?). It's just a matter of time before your life is affected negatively by your beloved, greedy corporate bought republican politicians. Your day is coming. Oh yes it is.
No, DUmbass blonde, we're not "too smart" to believe that it couldn't happen to us which is why we prepare. Control what you can, limit what you can't, don't let fear bog you down.
Just think, if you lived by that philosophy, you might be okay when the shit hits the fan, too. But, alas, it would require you to think which would automatically disqualify you from being a DUmmie.

Speaking of which, did you hear that Chicago school teachers are considering a strike (for higher wages), even though Rahmbo has told them that the city's broke and can't pay any wage increases?

Not DU. MSNBC.
Funnier with Benny Hill's "Yakkity Sax."

I had not heard that although it does not surprise me.

I had not heard that although it does not surprise me.
Fox & Friends had it this morning. Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade were having some fun with it.

Do they want higher standards and more work thereby becoming more productive to earn a pay raise ?
