Don't forget they also will owe you for the tax, license and registration on the new vehicle which is above and beyond the price of the "total loss" payment.
I will remember to include that in my expenses.  Thanks.

I couldn't get an MRI becuase nobody could get any information on the surgery I had in 2003 when the doctor put in one of these

I'll have to follow up on my own and get the information myself.

 It's a pressure valve.  The old one was just a piece of rubber and plastic (back when they made stuff that would last 20 years before breaking).  This one's got a bunch of fancy crap I didn't need.

I have recently heard of an LVAD, but not of these adjustable shunt valves. Learn something new every day.

MRI's are only subject to metal as it's basically a bazillion magnets bouncin' around a culvert. Should have no effect on plastic.

At least grab a photo of it.  Wanna see.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Other than the console lid between the front seats, the car is immaculately clean... it looks like the previous owner's dog attacked it and chewed it up.

If you have any of those "Pick-a-part" places near you. You might find a replacement fairly cheap.

There are two, usually with plenty of late-model stuff.

That's not a car.  That's 14 feet of beige.  :-)

I rented a Camry like that many moons ago to go on one of our trips to FL.  It was boring inside, but roomy, got good gas mileage (we averaged over 30MPG, and plenty of power for what it was.  You really can't go wrong with a Camry.

Easy to work on, cheap to fix.  This makes Camry #4.

!  I thought this was only #2?  What were the others before the '96?

I had a '92 when I was school about ten years ago.  The '95 was a 5-speed manual I drove for a few years until the clutch hydraulic system got too boogered to repair. I replaced it with the '96 which I had for all of one year (my original tags haven't even expired).

That's the same color the Camry my sister and brother-in-law owned.  That's about the only color I seem to see them in, if they're not beige.  I was going to ask Chris if any of his were green, but thought, "Nah".

I'll ask now, though.

The first two were the same green color.  The last one was a gray-blue color.

I will say the previous owner took excellent care of this car.  It's got a very pricey set of Pirelli tires.

I found one problem with the car (maybe two) and they might be related.  The driver window stops going up/down intermittently and the door speaker cuts in/out as well.  Minor problems.

I sure hope it's not due a timing belt.
Those can be a pain to swap out.

I submitted my final expenses to the insurance company... over two thousand dollars in out-of-pocket costs.

I got a raise on Jan 1 and never noticed (I don't see my pay stubs).  I had to submit a new document for the work I missed.

I'm good, the new car is good (could use some new wipers).  The insurance company still owes me a thousand dollars... they paid for the totaled car and the rentals I was using, but nothing else at this point.

I finally got the last invoice from the hospital.  Now maybe Farm Bureau can come up with the last $1500 they owe me. ::)
