I miss Tallahassee. Someone told me recently that Tally is backward compared to Atlanta. I would think anything looks slow compared to a big city  :whatever:

I was born and raised in the Mid-South - MS/TN. I spent years in North Texas (Dallas area) and I've been in the D.C. area for a few years. I've also spent time overseas. I most certainly prefer anywhere in the South or Texas. I can't wait to move away from here.  :-)
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

OMG, I could never survive the winters up there.  To me, anything north of Waco is yankee country.   :-)

Yep, good times, good times.  :cheersmate:

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

I was raised in L.A., no, not Lower Alabama! Lived for a while in Tokyo but the two places my wife and I enjoy the most:
Yucca Valley CA and Fayetteville PA. Small town life is the best.

Yes, my house is in Dawsonville...I have a panoramic view of the mountains. I'm about 10 minutes from Amicacola state park.....My favorite hiking spot.  Last time I was there I took a ride to Tennessee to see Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain.
Compared to the flat lands of Florida, Georgia is amazing....Love going up there when I need a break from the rat race.

Favorite place to live has to be Montana.  I could never live in the south...sorry southerners.  Once it gets above 45 degrees I begin to sweat profusely :-)

I went to Blueridge for the first time this past fall (we usually go to G'berg/P'forge).  Took the train to McCaysville/Coppertown.
