Palestinian Attacker Shot Dead Before Obama's Visit

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - A Palestinian rammed a bulldozer into vehicles on a busy Jerusalem street on Tuesday, ahead of a visit by U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, and wounded 16 people before being shot dead.

The attack, just down the road from the hotel where Obama was to stay, was the second such incident in Jewish west Jerusalem in three weeks.

It occurred while Israeli President Shimon Peres hosted Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at his official residence less than a kilometer (half-mile) away.

Israeli officials said the driver was a Palestinian from a village in an area of the occupied West Bank that Israel considers part of Jerusalem. Its residents have freedom of movement throughout the city and Israel.

"The bulldozer driver left a construction site, and hit two cars," a police spokesman said. "A civilian who saw what was happening, shot him. The bulldozer continued on its way. A border police patrol ... continued to shoot and the terrorist was killed."

As a side thought, I was reminded listening to Glenn Beck yesterday that in the world of Islam, some infidels are worse than others.  Below Christians, below even the hated Jews in Islam, is the degree of infidel reserved for the MUSLIM APOSTATE  (Before somebody gets their panties in a wad, let me issue the standard disclaimer - Boядt Osama is not a muslim.  He's spent the last 20 years as a faithful member of the Rev. Wright's "Church" - for what that's worth, but it's worth at least that he is not a muslim.)  One of the nasty little caveats - at odds with the mindset of the western world - is that the sin of Apostasy does not stop with the actual sinner who commits the act, but continues on to every child and subsequent generation that does not embrace Islam.  Boядt Osama is not a muslim gone apostate either, but his father is.  In the eyes of the "Muslim Street", that means that he is as well, whether he actually made the choice himself or not.

Given that one of the key hot-spots of the world is dominated by muslim - and largly "radical" muslim - theocracy, can we as a nation afford to have as our commander in chief, someone for whom anyone who takes his religion seriously over there is commanded to have NO RESPECT FOR; indeed they are commanded to kill him if they have the chance?

Can you imagine how many innocent lives would be lost if Israel had the Democrats running their country? To this day, I say a few armed folk at VT could have prevented most  of the deaths there.

Not only was that civilian armed, he was  (or was at one time) a reserve military soldier, as all all Isrealis who can serve once they turn 18.

The Muslim's worst enemy is themselves. One thing to note, there are ethnic tensions in the Muslim world and it is a underlying problem that gets overlooked. One group of people that is a target in the Muslim world is the Persians. Many non-Arab Muslim people feel their culture and heritage has been trashed. They range from the Persians, one of the great civilizations and the once proud Berbers and Turks and the cultural rich Bengalis. That is a separate issue though.

One should realize if Obama becomes President, the Muslim wold will hate America even more because they despise Muslim Apostates, the ones who leave Islam. They are even more hate than Jews and America COMBINED. Salman Rushdie got a fatwa, even though he was from a Muslim family in India and left the religion and wrote the "Satanic Verses". Muslims look down on Apostates and see them as trash. They would kill them in a nanosecond without any thought.
