Keep in mind as you read this that kbleat and the DUmbasses ONLY care because this is about unions and the subversion of elected government.
In ANY other thread about cops the police will be derided as jack-booted thugs and kpete would be one of the loudest screamers. Just google search DU with: kpete+police+brutality and you'll see plenty of threads started by him or bearing his condemnations.

Cops, firefighters turn on GOP in labor fight
Source: Politico
Many cops and firefighters have thrown their allegiance to the GOP for years – union members who frequently stray from labor’s longtime support for Democrats.
......................
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and others took aim at the GOP’s most powerful labor antagonists but ended up hitting some of the party’s best friends too — leaving public-safety unions fearful this year’s attack on teachers might easily be next year’s attack on them.
It’s a political shift that could have significant repercussions, and not just because these right-leaning union members vote for Republicans in sizable numbers. Angry cops and firefighters make for bad PR – especially after Republicans under President George W. Bush aligned themselves so successfully with the heroes of 9/11 in the years since then.
............
“Who are these evil teachers who teach your children, these evil policemen who protect them, these evil firemen who pull them from burning buildings? When did we all become evil?†said Canterbury, whose union endorsed Bush in 2000 and 2004 and John McCain in 2008.

OK...you got that last paragraph?
Let's replay that just so it sticks in your mind.

Well, actually, we can answer that:
A 26-year-old woman was charged Thursday with two felony counts and two misdemeanor counts for allegedly making email threats against Wisconsin lawmakers during the height of the battle over Gov. Scott Walker’s budget-repair bill.
Katherine R. Windels of Cross Plains was named in a criminal complaint filed in Dane County Criminal Court.

BUTBUT!Investigators visited Windels at her home the next day. According to the complaint, she told them she had sent the emails, and did so because she was very angry about what the senators had done. She also said she didn’t intend to carry out the threats, and was not arrested.
Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne filed the charges Thursday. He says “it’s odd†law enforcement never took Windels into custody.
http://www.wkow.com/Global/story.asp?S=14361120Windels has a history of this behavior and she admitted to making the threat.
One cannot help but wonder how someone making such egregious threats and with a prior history would NOT be taken into custody except through union thuggery/collusion.
IOW: from all appearances it seems the police unions are condoning what would, in the military, be deemed a dereliction/mutiny/sedition.
