Another irrelevant, washed-up actress criticizes the president and compares the Iraq War to Vietnam. How original.  ::)

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - Oscar-winner Jessica Lange bashed the Bush administration and denounced the war in Iraq during a commencement address at Sarah Lawrence College.

The star of "Tootsie" and "Blue Sky" was applauded by students Friday at the small liberal arts college after comparing the conflict with the Vietnam War. She said the graduates have "a heavy burden" to chart a new path for the country.

"We are living in an America that, in the last seven and a half years, has waged an unnecessary war, established prison camps, condoned torture, employed corporate armies, eliminated the right of habeas corpus, practiced extraordinary rendition, and believe me, this is only a partial list," Lange said.

Lange asked the graduates, including her 22-year-old daughter Hannah Shepard, to commit themselves to the "pursuit of peace."

The high point of her career was 'Tootsie'?  I was in grade school when that movie came out.

I thought she was good in the remake of Cape Fear, but she's really past her prime.  Her talent wasn't long-lasting like, say, Meryl Streep.

However, irregardless of her acting abilities -- she could be the most talented actress out there -- how does that translate into any special knowledge of/respected opinion regarding international politics.  Why would anyone suppose her opinion is any more important or correct than that of a wino on the streets?
When we were at peace, Democrats wanted to raise taxes. Now there's a war, so Democrats want to raise taxes. When there was a surplus, Democrats wanted to raise taxes. Now that there is a mild recession, Democrats want to raise taxes.

She looked good getting rolled around in flour in "The Postman Always Rings Twice".

Ironically, Americans were being held hostage by Iran while that remake was being filmed.

Commencement or moonbat fest.......you decide.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

She was gang banged in Francis. Maybe the cast wasn't acting and she was screwed silly.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.
