^I suspect that there will be a lot of discussion about this, but your bolded sentance appears to be from the WSJ writer's interpretaion of Justice Scalia's minority opinion, not the statements in Kennedy's majority opinion........

You might be right, but all that I've read, and two discussions that I have participated in with two constitutional attorneys (one of which is my daughter-in law, incidently), indicate otherwise.

We'll just have to wait and see.....

IMHO if it were up to me I'd see that as a loophole big enough to drive a prison bus through and then promptly do just that  :-)

Then let them tie it up in the courts for a decade or so to decide if I was right or not.

This is not a good day for our troops, nor our national safety. How the **** are ya gonna gather intelligence now? How are they going to prevent another 9/11 or worse?

Seriously, I feel like the country is in danger, and it's all thanks to these no good Marxist lawyers and Moaists in robes in the SC.

...but Sarge, Skizz has a point here. What happened in the ruling isn't exactly what I think the 5 Lib****tardbastardM'F'KnDickhead Judges  :censored: wanted.

What if they continue down this path and make the ruling clearer? To apply to all detainees? How the hell ARE we to question terrorist scumbags without having Johnson and Anus Attorneys' at Law sitting right there telling them to plead the 5th?
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Now everyone knows why the Air Force ordered those big cargo doors in the back end of some of their aircraft.
