Lisa Simpson is the biggest moonbat, and the older the show wore on, the worse she got. She ruined the movie.
Indeed.
While Lisa was always portrayed as a liberal activist, she initially was shown to be kind, friendly, respectful of others' views, and insightful. However, as the seasons went on and Matt Groening became more concerned with pushing his political views as much as possible than with making viewers laugh as much as possible, Lisa morphed into an increasingly obnoxious, self- righteous, arrogant little brat who was constantly forcing her left- wing extremist beliefs on everyone around her, and throwing temper tantrums whenever any other character dared to commit the heinous crime of disagreeing with her on any issue. Worst of all, the show actually portrayed her as HEROIC for this! It's a big part of the reason why that show has declined so much in recent years, and why I stopped watching new episodes of it a couple years ago.
For example, I recently played a little of the newest 'Simpsons' video game, which actually had gotten good reviews for a Simpsons- related game. The first few levels(An intro level playing as Homer dreaming that he's in the Land of Chocolate beating up and eating everything, a level in which Bart becomes the superhero Bartman, and a level with both of them working together to help Homer win an eating contest) were good and fun. However, the fun- factor took a nose- dive in the next level, as you played as Lisa. Your goal was to stop evil Mr. Burns's evil logging operation that's cutting down Springfield Forest to make designer toothpicks, and you accomplish this by having Lisa sabotage the logging equipment, beat up the lumberjacks (Who, in a typical display of subtlety for Groening, shout things like "I hate children!" as they attack you), and rely on weird Buddhist meditation/ levitation powers (Don't ask, it's even weirder and lamer than it sounds) to help you. In plain English, this level had Lisa openly engaging in and promoting crime and ecoterrorism in a game marketed towards and played by impressionable kids and teens.
Shame on you, Matt Groening.
