I'd forgotten about those, Wasp.  Another one I remember is that he felt that everybody ought to be making $50K, no more and no less (I think per family, as that was his world-view).  Why the $50K?  He figured it was "enough."

I've been a HAM operator for twenty years and hold an Extra License.  The good news for you, the Morse exams are no longer required for any level of license.  Personally, I love Morse (CW) and use it almost exclusively.  But that's not every person's cup of tea.  If you still want to be a HAM operator, now might be a good time to get into it.

I haven't heard it called CW since Dad died. CW always just flustered the crap out of me for some reason.  I knew the letters in my head, but I just never could do it for some reason. You'd think I would have picked it up easily being around it all the time.
