NNN0LHI (Don) Has Passed Away

This is Don's daughter and my dad requested that I post a message on his behalf if anything ever happened to him. I'm not sure if you were all aware of my dad's health issues but my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer last Fall. He fought a long, hard battle but succumbed to his illness yesterday, Sun. 9/1.

He always spoke very highly of his friends on this forum and my family would like to thank you all for making him feel welcome here (even if you didn't always agree with what he had to say). This forum was truly his second home!

RIP, Don. May the Lord have mercy on your soul.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Whoa.

I wondered why the old grouch hadn't been hanging around with the primitives for a while.

My sincere condolences.

RIP Don.  You fought the good fight, even if you were on the wrong side.

Some other primitive named MonkeyFunk gave up the ghost a few days ago. We'll see if this turns out to be one of those events you hear about that "comes in three's."

Don't know of him, but wish him the best and to RIP.

He was a primitive classic; not on the same scale as the late Chief S itting Bull, the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive "Redstone," but still memorable.  (But Chief S itting Bull of course was the Greatest Primitive, Ever, a hard act to copy.)

Anyone who mourns his passing didn't know him.

He had this undying devotion to, and worship of, the smash-mouth politics of the Chicago Democrat machine.

Tyranny and corruption bothered him not at all, as long as it was from the Chicago Democrat machine.

He thought he had it all figured out; if he took care of the Machine, the Machine would take care of him.

The last few years, it was obvious the Machine wasn't the least bit interested in taking care of him in his old age, what with their ever-increasing higher and higher taxes to pay for corruption, but I dunno if he lived long enough to see that.

Anybody know what the letters in "NNN0LHI" stood for? Would have been nice if the daughter had at least revealed that.

Thus, old Don is rendered into fat, to further lubricate the cogs of the great DUmocrat political machine.

Essentially, that's exactly what was happening to him.

But the blockhead wasn't seeing it.

Don will still be voting for the next 50 years, minimum. They aren't through with him yet.

For reference, Don briefly made it into the Top DUmmies once, in 2011, with an 11th place finish:

Well, bye.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
