Dennis the Menace afraid and ashamed

Oh my.

Denninmi (6,048 posts)    Sat Aug 24, 2013, 04:34 PM

I didn't tell any of you this. I was afraid and ashamed.

Afraid they would lock me up for for real. This is my darkest secret and lowest moment, and I am horribly ashamed. I could have put myself AND OTHERS as a side effect in mortal danger. IT, and I am sure from context you can figure out what IT means, is gone now, I swear. In a responsible manner. Ironic given the circumstances of last August and December.

I have to deal with it now, the anniversary is a week from tomorrow.

I went to that favorite pier in the early morning with the intention of killing myself at 6:59 AM, sunrise. I couldn't go through with it.

And now I have to live with what I did and try and reconcile with the future I want. I am finding it exceedingly difficult to forgive myself. And submerged in so many bad memories.

1. Oh, my dear Denninmi...

You were in a dark and scary place. Nobody would blame you for wanting to hide this.

I don't know how to help you absolve yourself from the guilt you're feeling; best to talk to your therapist for that. Just know that you're not alone...

Ah, I wish I could hug you for real. But since I can't, here's some virtual hugs...

Be gentle with yourself...

Dennis the Menace hasn't changed in the past year. He's still a useless chickenshit.

But maybe someday he'll improve.

What does he mean, he didn't tell them.  He was spewing that crap all over DU back then.  At least he is more entertaining whilst plunging screaming into the abyss.  He needs a sexy maid's outfit and a dominatrix to set him right.

Threw his child porn collection off the pier more likely.  I'm sure that weirdo has plenty to be afraid and ashamed about, and equally sure most it he hasn't put on the table.

Neither is anyone else who is thinking that way...there are a lot of tells in his posts, but nothing truly conclusive about exactly what he is/was mixed up in.  He is clearly a sick little monkey who has something he really needs to hide because it will get him in a world of trouble, but at the same time wants to talk to other freaks and get validated.

I don't think so. Dennis the Menace is a self-pitying, mentally-ill, obsessive-compulsive, manic depressive, whiny, girlyman drama queen.

Nothing dramatic or criminal, just a lunatic. The IT he's talking about is the weapon he was going to use to rid the world of his useless self.

5. I have to face that morning there.
The exposure desensitization therapy I am doing pretty much mandates I be there and then.

So Dennis the Menace gets another try at suicide on September 1, at sunrise on a pier in Detroit.

Let's see if he's still with us on September 2. I'm pretty sure he will be.

Dennis is such a coward.

Definitely not trying to be funny either, Gina.

My theory: Fear of being caught with child porn drove him to try suicide. Being a drama queen, he decided to shoot himself through the heart at his favorite pier at sunrise/sunset, but he threw the gun off the pier in a dramatic fashion. He has been collecting more child porn recently.

I think it may have been his hard drive that actually went in the drink when he chickened out, rather than a gun.  I doubt if the little numbnuts has a gun or even access to one, at least without lying about his mental status and/or record.

Even a waterlogged hard drive is recoverable.

A cousin of mine takes the hard drives that he has been tasked to destroy, by friends (not his business ones), out to a rifle range.  Three shots each, from either a .300 Savage or a .30 WCF, does the trick.

9. Self-deleting.
I don't want this particular detail hanging around in cyberspace for the long run. Thanks for understanding.
Well, Dennis, you were a little slow on the trigger.

I wonder if Dennis is still with us. He was going to the Death Pier on Sunday morning at sunrise, the one-year anniversary of his failed suicide attempt.

Maybe this year he wasn't as big a coward as he was in 2012.

We probably won't know for a while. If he failed again, he's probably being confined in a safe place.

That would be something, if we lost Don and Dennis in one weekend! Then if just one more DUmmy took the pipe, we could start tossing hats on the ice.

Well, hell. Dennis the Menace chickened out yet again.

He posted on one of DUmmy LocoNuts's whiny threads, just to let us know he's still alive:
