So, his wife is working two jobs, doing all the housework, etc., but he was the one who said they "had to separate"  :whatever:

Seriously, who would phrase it that way?  Why not say, "My wife and I have decided to separate."  He told her?   :asshat:

Me thinks he's been kicked to the curb.  As it should be, based on what he posted.

And I think that Tantal is probably right about the internet bill.  I've seen this guy before.  Is he the guy who's a bum, and his wife works 2 jobs?  He can't even be bothered to run the vacuum cleaner or something?
What a preposterous thread, even by DUmp standards.  What is this about poems and the new moon?  He's being deliberately coy, on a very serious matter.  He is an utter asshat, and I offer my hearty congratulations to the wife on shedding herself of such flotsam.

You are too cold for words.  Don't you realize he has ISSUES!!!  Dammit people like you piss me off.  How can you expect someone with depression to run a vacuum cleaner?!  Don't you know that vacuums suck therefore they make depressed people realize they too suck!

Jeezus.

Yeah, well, you hear about accidents with guys and vacuum cleaners happening all the time in Great Britain, for some reason.  It's dangerous stuff.

My, what a dreadful poem.  I don't care for poetry, and the DUmp makes me hate it even more.  Except that, "red lights blink blink blink blink, Shiny truck gleaming" can make me laugh any time of the day or night.  Laughter is good for the soul.

I will never again be able to see anything written in verse without thinking "Red lights blink, blink, blink, blink. Four blinks. Not three or five. Shadowknowsnumbers will never come close. Anway, in case anyone has forgotten, the CalPig's poem is also the first time the word "asystole" has been seen in American poetry. There should be a place to preserve this poem, along with Pitt's comical threat against franksolich, his speech to Ty, Pam's erotic planning, TiT's countless heroisms, and other DUmp classics:

Paramedic red
battering at the night

someone’s bleeding
heart attacking
or stroking
out

Red lights blink blink blink blink
shiny truck gleaming

run to the bedside
asystole on the monitor
quick with the crash cart
start CPR
where’s respiratory

I need help in here

oh god don’t let her die

don’t let me **** up
no time to think

where’s the back board
flatten the bed
open the airway
oh thank god there’s respiratory
at last
and the ER doc

OK
saved the life
time to mop up
get the chart
document document document

paramedic red
took me
back
tonight

It is time to pull one of my favorites out:

Quote
Don't get me wrong - her poetry isn't bad.  It's awful.  It's the kind of thing that would blind God if He had to read it.  It's a collection of words that should be machine-gunned down, one by one, preferably out in the desert, with no witnesses, and a nice young girl who could be counted on to claim that she'd been shooting jackrabbits.  It's so bad, mirrors crack if anyone looking into a mirror while thinking of one of CP's poems runs the risk of permanent scarring, even blindness, while thinking of it as he peers into the mirror...
Her poetry needs immolation.  She needs to have all writing impletments and keyboards, paper, blank walls, toilet paper, paper towels, margins in newspapers, and even the blank part of framed works of art removed from her home until this idea that she's writing "poetry" passes.  Maybe medication will help.

Kenth, by the time I got down to that part of the masterpiece, I was shell-shocked and completely missed it.
But, that's typical for me with many DUmp posts.  I come away from them with dropped jaw.  That's why it's helpful to bring them over so we can parse them together.  I've missed alot on first reads.

My bet is that his appeal for Disability final came through, so, like a true Dim, he's taking that big check and splitting.

I'll also bet that, like a true Dim, in a year or so, he'll be back at her door, begging her to take his broke-butt back before he starves.  Hope she's grown a brain by then.

No, it didn't, and the shadowy primitive was upset about it, especially when his attorney told him it would take "at least two more years."

I think the shadowy primitive's wife told him some time ago to start carrying some of the financial weight in the household, or leave.

When the shadowy primitive first applied for benefits, he admitted it might break his marriage if he didn't get on the gravy train.

I dunno why the shadowy primitive just doesn't do more hours driving a taxi-cab.

Damn.  I didn't think of that but I'll bet you're right.  He has been taken care of his whole life and NOW he is gainfully employed (through our tax dollars) sitting his big ass at home and is thumbing his nose at the one who enabled him to survive this long.

Why am I reminded of a Harry Chapin tune? (Sorry Frank. Here: http://www.lyricsdepot.com/harry-chapin/taxi.html).

Thanks Frank.

He does mention in that thread something about an appeal.  Jeez, they don't ever give up trying to get free shit.  How much money do we spend trying to keep these leeches out of our pockets?
