The Shame of America

It is the shame of us all. It is an epidemic that affects each and every one of us. It has become a mental illness.

We have failed to protect the children and innocent people from this scourge. It is not enough to blame others. As our children are torn to shreds, we have done nothing but talk and point fingers. Our message has been too weak to even defeat the guilty politicians at the polls.

As children are ripped to shreds, beyond recognition, by these weapons of destruction, we shrink the debate to whether or not it is a 2nd Amendment right. There is no "well-regulated militia". There are only sick people with guns. Guns are the only thing in the world that empowers them.

Once a society is willing to surrender the lives of their children to guns, or anything else, they have surrendered their right to a future. They are rotting from within.

Politicians that defend these weapons in the hands of anyone that wishes to have them, are not deserving of representing anyone, especially in the halls of Congress. They should be defeated and branded as murderers. They are a disgrace to our nation.

It is a shame that we have come to this point.

26. Or, instead of that, a documentary film about the

damage that assault rifles do to people, including children. Such a film could interview medical examiners about the remains that they process after a mass shooting and interview first responders about what a shooting scene looks like when they arrive. There might be some survivors willing to talk about their experience and how they deal with the trauma and PTSD afterward.

Parents might be willing to talk about the day their children died - getting through breakfast and the conversations that morning, the child's plans for the day, sending them off to school and going about business as usual until news of the shooting broke. Listen as they tell about dropping everything to get to the school, waiting for word about their own child, and finally learning that their child had been killed.

Such a documentary, shown on TV and made available on social media, could take the discussion out of abstraction and into reality.

Another possibility would be a disaster film, a fictionalized movie based on fact regarding what mass shootings are like from the perspectives of victims and survivors, and of relatives, friends, first responders, the shooter and people who know the shooter, the impact on the community, the responses of politicians, etc.

The goal of a fictionalized movie would be to present the reality of mass shootings in a narrative form that people can relate to. It would have to be well researched and accurate regarding all facts relating to what a shooting scene looks like, the damage done to human tissue and organs, the disruption of lives for people too traumatized to work, go shopping, be in crowds, etc. For children, show the survivors' fear of school afterward, their nightmares, parents trying to cope, parents' fear of sending their kids off to school again. A movie could incorporate a scene of children who have never been in a shooting learning about them and practicing drills at school, worrying of it will happen to them, too.

Make mass murders REAL, through documentaries or through fictionized narratives based on facts.

6. Only sick people

Accept bribes and promise to keep guns available. This informal agreement keeps the gun manufacturer in business so the business man can offer a bigger bribe to keep guns available. The endless cycle never ends.

7. We have allowed ourselves to be bullied and terrorized

There is no unlimited right to own all guns in all circumstances. This is a fiction built on the blood of our children. In this dystopian world, no one’s life matters.

I'm all for it, PROVIDED we can respond with pictures, and video, of in process abortions as well as the aftermath.

The SICK left is so pro-abortion and the murder of babies, I don't see why they'd have a problem with my proposal.
Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

Because only the left goes searching for that which is not there in a desperate attempt to be offended about something.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Anders Breivik did his thing in America? The London with Knife Control problems is in America?

Since children cannot be taught in schools that God forbade murder, howzabout children see that committing murder has severe consequences? In Skinnerian terms, negative reinforcement.

Howzabout laws regarding insane people be changed so that involuntary commitment not be nearly impossible without a crime being committed?
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

The true shame of America has and always will be the democrat party.

The party of slavery.
The party of the civil war that fought for slavery.
The party that fought the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.
The anti-Constitution party.
The party of Jim Crow laws.
The pro NAZI party.
The party of Bull Connor.
The party of segregation.
The party that fought civil rights in the 60s.
The pro baby killing party.
The anti-freedom party.
The party run by and for criminals.
The party of destruction.
The party of lies and propaganda.

Think where this country could be, how great it could be, if the democrat party had never existed.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I agree, being canceled for not being "woke" enough to actually believe a man can be a woman is a mental illness.

The vast majority of children in this country will grow up, and not die prematurely from anything, much less fro guns. The person infringing on their freedom is the person who chooses to walk into a school and shoot them, not the gun owners who haven't done anything.

A great number of them will, however, be stunted as the result of lockdown restrictions that robbed them of their social life, emotional health, and education. And you can bet that many of them will end up more violent as a consequence. That is what is rotting us from within.

That’s better. I prefer when they come straight out and admit what they truly believe rather than try and cloak it in a fog of concern they don’t really believe in the first place.

.

I don't have a problem with someone saying they want the 2nd Amendment repealed. I disagree, but the correct attitude to have about laws one disagrees with is "I think the law should be changed", as opposed to "We should ignore the courts", or "it should be reinterpreted according to how I see it".

If the “shame” was abortion and the “mental illness” and “scourge” was leftist ideology, Ken would have made a great point. As it stands, he’s as lost in his own little world as he’s ever been.

Then what? Guns will just magically disappear?

Lets play out a hypothetical. Lets say you get your way, DUmmy. What then? Ban them all, and require them to be turned in? For sake of discussion, lets assume that it isn't the last straw, and war isn't declared against you and yours, your party, and anyone that aids in the little exercise.  You just ran headfirst into the takings clause of the constitution. Lets see, that's 350 million guns, at say 500 to 3 thousand bucks a piece.

Where is the government going to come up with the hundreds of billions of dollars from,  to pay for it?

It's wishful thinking, lurking DUmmies. Both the idea that you could do it, and the idea that heads wouldn't roll.
