Saying you're the wife of a combat vet....that's a special kind of stupid if you think that's considered wearing your hubby's rank.

In response to the first quote, I don't see what Mrs. Fisher did as wearing her husband's rank on her sleeve.  If she had, she would have said 'as the wife of a colonel who as deployed to combat', for example. This DUche is just dealing with with his cranial/rectal inversion as a result of looking at this picture (i.e. liberal head assploded). 

As for Warpy, this is NOT how many soldiers feel about this. As a a COMBAT VETERAN (I earned that title you oxygen-thieving scrunt), I feel what Mrs. Fisher has said has every right t osay she is the wife of a combat vet, just like my wife does. Spouses put up with long separations, late nights wondering if their husband is okay, etc. They've earned that title as well. Shut your mouth and make me a sammich! :bigbird:

As the wife of a Retired (woohoo!) CoastGuardsman, I think she should proudly say she is the wife of a combat veteran. Has nothing whatsoever to do with "wearing his rank" and everything to do with being proud of what her husband does

There are thousands of combat veteran WIDOWS (and widowers) who not only "wore their husband's rank," but now have the "honor" of raising families without said husbands with severe financial hardships, as well as losing their mates.
