If the KFC thing IS a hoax-it's a JUSTIFIED hoax

KFC is part of the corporocracy that spent decades making sure we didn't have anything close to comprehensive, let alone universal healthcare-and then supported that same sector in its still-unrelenting campaign to repeal the ACA and replace it with-nothing.

And in a country where, even with the ACA, healthcare access is still mainly a privilege rather than a right, people with sick or badly-injured children are morally entitled to do whatever they need to do, short of actually doing physical harm to others, to get the treatment their kids need. To say otherwise is to put "the law" above all else, even simple common humanity.

These are times when Robin Hood and even Pretty Boy Floyd actions are justified, if that's what is needed to get something close to a decent life for all.

So **** sanctimony and **** self-righteousness about "right and wrong" and how terrible it is to "steal" from a giant, artery-clogging corporate behemoth.

If this child's parents staged a "hoax", it's because they had NO OTHER CHOICE.

And nobody here can truly say that, given the same situation, we wouldn't do the same thing.

He's taking a beatdown but there is 1 rec as of this writing.

So you condone theft because one party has more money than the other.

It matches your political philosophy.

Not really.  It's just another day on Skinner's online Penn State shower room.

I wonder how the DUmmies would react if Chik-Fil-A or Hobby Lobby had been the target of the scam?

The hooting and wiggle-waggling of armpits would have been monumental.  It would have been on par with Fitzmas.

Does this Dummy also condone the fact that workers supposedly had drinks thrown in their face following the hoax?

I say supposedly because unlike Dummies, I don't just spread bull shit around the internet without confirming it actually happened.

However, if workers really had drinks thrown in their face, doesn't this create a conundrum?  Aren't Dummies supposed to care about those exploited fast food workers?

I love these threads where they tear someone apart like rapid dogs, like the one last week with Big Mo.  They're so entertaining.  It's an enormous thread, and a good read.

12. Why? It's just regaining a tiny bit of what's been stolen.

I'm so sick of this f'n mindset from these parasitic assholes. What the hell has KFC "stolen", you DUmbass? They cook food. Sell it for profit. People buy it. They take that money, buy more product, cook food, sell it for profit, rinse, repeat. What the HELL is a corporation "stealing" from ANYone, you stupid chimp?
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

One of the problems with the primitives is that they think a corporation is a feeling entity, like a person or animal or something.

That's not quite as bad, however, as the primitive notion that corporations pay taxes, and hence should be milked for all they've got.

244. I'M GOING TO SELF-DELETE JUST TO LOCK THIS THREAD MYSELF.

TRANSLATION: The mods won't save me from the ass-beating I'm taking at the hands of the mob.

I'm not sure I was wrong, but need to think about this in greater detail.

And, for the record, were it to turn out that the funds received were not used to help the child, I would retract, in this case, what I said above.

I saw this situation as a comment on what our system makes some people feel forced to do and hoped to cause a deeper discussion of class, wealth and poverty through starting this thread. Others saw it differently.

And, if KFC employees themselves were totally innocent of wrongdoing, they shouldn't have been made victims in this.

The story is not over on this family and we may never know the entire truth. Let's leave it at that for now.

They love to retreat into the "we may never know the entire truth" gambit. It allows them to continue to feed their fevered little imaginations full of hate and envy.

DUmmies are always playing on the sympathies of others to scam them....and democrat politicians play them like a violin.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

But you were judging them, by saying that they weren't guilty of lying and fraud. Judging someone isn't always negative.
