Proglodytes really want Jesus to be a worthless hippy

Mind you, this is one of those rare moments when they are crusading to destroy ever vestige of Christianity. They only like religion when they can mold it to look like them.

Did Jesus Use Cannabis?

30 - Jesus Allegedly Uses Anointing Oil Made with Cannabis

"In the Bible’s New Testament, Jesus... anointed with potent entheogenic oil, sending out the 12 apostles to do the same ...

Likewise, after Jesus' passing, James suggests that anyone of the Christian community who was sick should call to the elders to anoint him with oil in the name of Jesus..."
Chris Bennett "Was Jesus a Stoner?," High Times Magazine, Feb. 10, 2003

"So, did Jesus use cannabis? I think so. The word Christ does mean 'the anointed one' and Bennett contends that Christ was anointed with chrism, a cannabis-based oil, that caused his spiritual visions. The ancient recipe for this oil, recorded in Exodus, included over 9lb of flowering cannabis tops (known as kaneh-bosem in Hebrew), extracted into a hin (about 11? pints) of olive oil, with a variety of other herbs and spices. The mixture was used in anointing and fumigations that, significantly, allowed the priests and prophets to see and speak with Yahweh.

Residues of cannabis, moreover, have been detected in vessels from Judea and Egypt in a context indicating its medicinal, as well as visionary, use. Jesus is described by the apostle Mark as casting out demons and healing by the use of this holy chrism. Earlier, from the time of Moses until the later prophet Samuel, holy anointing oil was used by the shamanic Levite priesthood to receive the 'revelations of the Lord'. The chosen ones were drenched in this potent cannabis oil."

This and many other fascinating facts regarding the history of cannabis use are on this timeline link from 2900 BC to modern times.

51. Doubt it but it is possible.

But even if it was hemp oil it's not like applying it to the skin would really do anything.

Cannabis is not supposed to be a hallucinogen, but if it is, that is all the more reason to keep illegal for recreational use.

It depends on which day you catch them.

If people eat MJ candy and hallucinate to the point where they murder their spouse or Maureen Dowd claims she was sick in bed with delusions and paranoia then the Proglodytes are pretty sure you're just a dirty liar spreading anti-MJ propaganda.

If, however, you want to claim the entirety of the New Testament was the work of a dirty hippy rather than The Creator who seeks all men to come before Him in humility and penance then MJ-induced hallucinations are as certain as the sun rising in the east.

Bizarre reactions like this are more indicative of deep seated fear. DUmmies are afraid of Christ and Christians. They must reduce him to something they can control. In this case, a fellow drug addict.

Liberals water down all aspects of faith. They have liberal churches where belief in Gaia and global warming is stronger that belief in God. These churches will be fine until libs fully come into power, and then they too will be marched to the firing line. Socialists will brook no competition to the worship of state.

Ummmm ... yeah. "Christ" and "Messiah", in this kind of context, referred to an anointing by God, not a literal anointing with oil. And if Jesus had used oil in any cosmetic-medicinal way, it would have been the oil that was abundantly available in that place and time, olive oil.

This is a bizarre example of conspiracy-theory thinking: something preposterous is claimed, and if not proven untrue to the satisfaction of the one(s) making the claim, the preposterous is assumed to be true. But like Chris_ said, consider the source - High Times and DU.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Not sure. Have tried to read the New Testament chapter by chapter but find if I skip about there are many conflicts.

What I have now, due to change of other ideas, was Jesus was a conservative  of his day.  His mission on earth was to bring the faith in God out of the hands of the Priests that had become corrupt and liberal.

Then he had Rome in charge of the government and the Priest hood that feared the Empire.    The Priests feared the Government and had to go along with them so that small city's of Jews would not be rounded up and sent into one of their arenas  to be eaten by the lions for the enjoyment of the crowd.

I believe Jesus was a conservative  because of the give and take between Mary M. and about the use of oils, not normal oils but what were considered precious.

Mary M. asks why he, Jesus used these oils on himself and not to give them to the poor.

Jesus answer was----There will all ways be the poor.

No way Jesus was a liberal, he showed in many ways his desire to bring back the Jewish faith before the corruptors of the faith came in.

The relationship with Jesus and his cousin John the Baptist must have been interesting.    Both Sisters,  claimed a virgin birth.   Interesting that both John and Jesus disappeared for years before reuniting years after.

Really a fascinating book the New Testament, perhaps the greatest Gift to man kind.

I'm pretty sure they're referring to the spikenard Mary poured on Jesus' head.

But even then, as in all things, Proglodytes fail:

Quote
Nardostachys jatamansi is a flowering plant of the Valerian family that grows in the Himalayas of Nepal, China, and India. The plant grows to about 1 m in height and has pink, bell-shaped flowers. It is found in the altitude of about 3000–5000 meters. Rhizomes (underground stems) can be crushed and distilled into an intensely aromatic amber-colored essential oil, which is very thick in consistency. Nard oil is used as a perfume, an incense, a sedative, and an herbal medicine said to fight insomnia, birth difficulties, and other minor ailments.[1]
