SEARCH FOR MISSING LAKESIDE CHLDREN EXPANDS TO MEXICO AND CANADA; SUSPECT MAY HAVE EXPLOSIVES

August 8, 2013 (Lakeside) The Amber Alert for Hannah Anderson, 16, and her brother, Ethan, 8, has now extended to Mexico. According to El Diario, a Mexican newspaper, “The FBI is working with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, and Mexican authorities since Monday.”http://diario.mx/Estados_Unidos/2013-08-08_1b800648/emiten-alerta-amber-en-san-diego-buscan-al-sospechoso-en-mexico

Other developments have led to the extension of the Amber Alert to Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Canada.

The Nuevo Herald Of Ciudad Juarez added that the FBI is working with Mexican Authorities since this is a “common flight route to this type of criminal.” http://www.elnuevoherald.com/2013/08/08/1540190/cuatro-estados-en-alerta-por-secuestro.html

The San Diego Sheriff warns that murder/kidnapping suspect James DiMaggio might have left his home in Boulevard with explosives.

By the way, looked at Canadian press too. Nothing yet there.

And I just learned Mexico has a formal Amber Alert system... very recent. The alert has been activated in Baja California Norte

3. Personally I think they went to Mexico

And not at formal crossing. Last year when we covered the Chockey fire, well we were at spitting distance, a few times by the border fence. That's 15 minutes from Ross Blvd...but what would we know?

That said, due to war on drugs there are a lot of checkpoints manned by the army and the Federal Police...in Mexico...

By the by, pure speculation on my part...why Mexican Authorities are involved starting Monday.

He's an avid camper too, so people at National and State parks have been told to keep eyes open.

Tomorrow I need to go to Sherriffs office and "camp" for a little while.

6. And I was thinking of taking the night off

It is just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Trolling for more mexican media I might have just come across a story that should be first page news in the States... at least in San Diego.

One of the san diego members of the Congressional delegation (he represents the border), just came out against militarizing the border. Just sent an email to staff asking for an interview. Why oh why do I need to read that in a Mexico City site?

But I am used to it. You want to find news, real news, of the US... go to foreign media.

8. Yup, this is now all over Baja Norte papers

we have a full alert.

After which the cousin apparently goes to bed, and then shows up the next morning:

Whatever you CBD. We have how many TV  Networks and newspapers all over this? If only Congress would find a way to kill her access to the internet the world would be a safer place.

You know, the only reason the cousin hasn't yet been taken away to the insane asylum is that they can't find a straitjacket to fit her, uh, body shape.

Let me get this straight, in order to get US news, you have to go out of the US to get it. Hmmm.
When nads hit the rack, did the rack PLONK ?
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Well, the cousin does have a point, although not one she wishes to make.

If it weren't for the British, German, and Russian press, we'd hardly know anything of the Big Zero's high crimes and misdemeanors, because they don't get told here.

It wasn't until I got my PC and on the internet that I realized how much our media kept from us.  I used to find out what was going on in this country's government by reading news from Ireland, Australia and India.

Then why isn't she covering the fires in So. Calif?

BTW, the kidnapper and the girl have been spotted in the Idaho wilderness.  His car has been recovered.

Because she's not really covering them; she's sitting on her fat ass in her living room listening to scanners.

Now the cousin's making San Diego sound like Connecticut:

What stories have you covered there?

nadinbrzezinski (124,623 posts)    Tue Aug 6, 2013, 08:23 PM

119. Not much really.

City council though is fun...and I mean it, the hot issue of the 2012 city council race...in several east county cities, but especially el Cajon, were backyard chickens.

Quote
GiaGiovanni (1,137 posts)    Tue Aug 6, 2013, 08:24 PM

120. Chickens?

They're raising them for food, I assume. Was it a health issue?

Quote
nadinbrzezinski (124,623 posts)    Tue Aug 6, 2013, 08:30 PM

121. Eggs

San Diego city led the way...why you can hear chickens in San Diego proper

Quote
GiaGiovanni (1,137 posts)    Tue Aug 6, 2013, 08:31 PM

122. So can you have chickens anywhere in San Diego county?

I can't imagine them in the beach areas.

nadinbrzezinski (124,623 posts)    Tue Aug 6, 2013, 08:32 PM

123. Almost, there is a limit

HOA might limit them or say no though...and no roosters.
