The Guardian in 2009 predicted five years of rapid warming:

--- Quote ---The world faces record-breaking temperatures as the sun’s activity increases, leading the planet to heat up significantly faster than scientists had predicted for the next five years, according to a study.

The hottest year on record was 1998, and the relatively cool years since have led to some global warming sceptics claiming that temperatures have levelled off or started to decline. But new research firmly rejects that argument.

The research, to be published in Geophysical Research Letters, was carried out by Judith Lean, of the US Naval Research Laboratory, and David Rind, of Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

Fail. Five more years of no warming followed.

Again, where's the fire-breathing picture of Algore?

Good find BSS.
No way should the thread fade into obscurity with 0 replies.

J P Sousa:
Interesting site; http://www.spaceandscience.net/id16.html

--- Quote ---  1.      The Earth is about to begin a steep drop in global temperatures off its present global temperature plateau. This plateau has been caused by the absence of growth in global temperatures for 18 years, the start of global cooling in the atmosphere and the oceans, and the end of a short period of moderate solar heating from an unusually active secondary peak in solar cycle #24.

--- Quote ---  On January 6, 2014, Mr. Casey founded the Global Cooling Awareness Project (GCAP). The GCAP is an international effort to create a list of scientists and professionals who believe naturally produced global warming has ended and a new cold climate epoch has begun.

I would love to thank J P Sousa for keeping this thread going.
I would love to see these observations get rubbed into the face of lib glow bull warming swindlers at every turn.

I don't get it. Illinois has been getting cooler in the summer and only slightly warmer during most of the winter.  This seems like a good trade off to me.

However, we're in the middle of a Canadian import right now and it's :censored: cold.
