Oh, he was under the bus alright. On Friday Gibbs refused to say whether Jones continued to enjoy the president's confidence; which is code for "he's as good as gone". The only question after that was: which news cycle was most advantageous to the president's agenda.

What really made this awesome was the media blackout from the paleo-media. Despite their best damned efforts to spike the story FOX, talk radio and the bloggers brought this nutsack to heel. This is as much a triumph of free speech than anything.

Which is why Obama's FCC chief has to go next...while we still can.
