Obama Aide Van Jones Resigns After GOP Attacks

President Obama's environmental adviser Van Jones resigned from his post late Saturday evening after he came under fire for a series of inflammatory statements he made about Republicans, the White House said early Sunday morning.

Jones, Obama's green jobs "czar," was caught on tape in an expletive-packed rant, directly attacking Republicans in the Senate who he said abused their majority position in the past to push legislation through. He told Politico after the statements were released that the comments were "inappropriate" and "offensive."

"They do not reflect the experience I have had since joining the administration," Jones said in the statement.

The White House kept mum about Jones Friday, telling reporters only Jones would remain as part of Obama's administration.

I love the way the article calls it a GOP attack.  It's an attack now to simply point out the truth?  To reveal a recent history or communism and racism is an attack now.  Good to know.

Me too.  Any time the truth about an anti-American lying liberal is exposed to the light, it is an "attack".  Van Jones was "swiftboated".....which we all know the left wants to mean something entirely different than it actually does.

The czar didn't have to be vetted.  THey weren't going through any kind of confirmation process by the House and Senate.  Obama found a way to bypass the process that would have shown the kind of radicalism these people possess and put them in a position to directly affect policy and the direction of this country.

"I am resigning my post at the Council on Environmental Quality, effective today.
