$1.89 at a truck stop in central Texas.

I understand that the price of oil shouldn't vary too wildly in the foreseeable future.  Much of this summer's silliness is blamed on the futures traders.  The volume of futures contracts being traded was something like five times the volume of daily consumption.

Ah, here: http://blogs.reuters.com/globalinvesting/2008/06/06/growth-in-oil-futures-outpaces-oil-consumption-2/
Those who see their lives as spoiled and wasted crave equality and fraternity more than they do freedom. If they clamor for freedom, it is but freedom to establish equality and uniformity. The passion for equality is partly a passion for anonymity: to be one thread of the many which make up a tunic; one thread not distinguishable from the others. No one can then point us out, measure us against others and expose our inferiority.

Bah, we're still paying in the $2.30's here in central FL, but we do have some of the highest fuel taxes in the country. :censored:

But no state income tax. They get you one way or the other.

I can find it regularly right in my neighborhood for about 1.89 a gallon

$1.98 here in Richmond

BUSH'S FAULT!

Let's enjoy it while we can. Obama and his no drilling will probably change it.

Filled up at Sam's Saturday for $1.88. There was a Conoco station on the way home from work yesterday that had it for $1.85, so presume it's dropped further at Sam's.

I paid $2.19 at Pilot up the street from me today.

Was on both the north and south sides of town today checking on my new foreclosures....$2.13 was the least I saw.

Don't get used to these low gas prices.

$1.99 in Seabrook on Monday.  First time in three years.  Oh, and did I mention heating oil is now at $2.57 a gallon, a mere few months after I paid $4.25 a gallon on prebuy?  :thatsright:

I've seen gas below $2. Not bad. I don't expect they stay low. So enjoy it while it last.

Found a gas station at 1.89 here...HOWEVER... would any of you be willing to take your cars to a place called El Cheapo?  I hope not.

I paid $1.78 in Lexington, KY Monday.  At home in Durham, NC it's still $2.15.
