I'm a born cynic ---so I have to admit, I have a hard time donating to an entity that has not been proven legit.

I'm not quite sure how you would verify that a request for donations is legit. I guess that's for Skinner and co. to figure out.

I was fortunate to be working when I left a bad situation (and no kids). But I did find the folks at the local women's center very helpful and attended a few seminars that helped me get on w/my life. I don't know about conservative cave, but I think you may be getting some push back because you are a newer member.

Legal aid -- Smeagle grade.

So I've only been there 4 months. My relatives need money, primitive. Pony Up!!

I guess that's the difference between Dummies and conservatives.  One group will work longer hours, take second jobs, and do what ever it takes to make their family stay afloat.  The other will go beg for money online.
