The U.S. Federal Reserve cuts its key interest rate by half a percentage point to 3 percent -- its second reduction in 8 days.

Gee, someone here predicted there would be at least another 1/4 point cut before the end of the month.   I don't remember who it was, but whoever  did was right as rain.  We have some brilliant folks here at CC.
