Officer shot nine times gets sued by gunman's family for "emotional distress"

Quote
Back in 2018 in Casper, Wyoming, an offer responded to a call that there was an obviously young child driving a vehicle in a remote parking lot.

However, when the officer responded to the call in order to speak with the adult present in the vehicle, he was met with gunfire.

That officer, who was shot nine times during the encounter, is being sued by the family of the man he shot and killed in response to the hail of bullets aimed at and striking him.

Officer Carlson was shot 9 times by David Wolosin, who was shot and killed by Carlson.

Wolosin's family is suing Carlson. Wolosin would be alive if he did not shoot at Officer Carlson.

This is ridiculous.
