You think that's bad sequester snapped the belt on my dryer. Now I have to buy a new belt and put it in.

Buy what new belt?  You don't honestly believe that dryer belt factory #12 is still functioning now that government is deep in the throes of sequester, do you?

(Damn, it's hard to post all this with a straight face.)

True since Home Depot must certainly be closed now. Anyone have a 92 and a quarter inch by 1/4 dryer belt they can sell me?

I've noticed that too!  We had lovely sunshine on Sunday and Monday, but the sequester has caught up with us now.  The sun has been turned down significantly up here near the Puget Sound  :bawl:

Yes, the 22 days are 1day per week. That actually reduces my years salary by 20%.  I will survive, though it may become difficult.

My daughter is a DoD civilian...her mandatory "time off" starting in April is one unpaid day a week through September.  Not sure if she can use accumulated leave and/or sick days to reinstate them to paid time off though. :???:

If not, she may well end up back home with us for awhile, although at least she's not a dumbass kid who's gonna be staring at her Obumbles posters on the wall. :whatever:

I am still thinking that there is going to be some grand bargain. Just because the repukes haven't caved doesnt mean they won't.

Because they think they are smart by just cutting a few very important things.  For example the DoD budget.

Well I waited to see if it was true when the chicken Little's of the left told us the sky would fall. Well I guess they are right. Found some sky falling on the roof and the yard yesterday and some today. It's everywhere. Its a mess.Should we call FEMA or the State? I wish I knew because El Guapo hasn't updated us on anything and posted the crunchy nooze or has she crossed the Rubix Cubes? I feel we are in dire times my friends.

Well looks like Obama shut down tours of the White House because of the sequester - he's sharing in the sacrafice.

Now Rep Olmert has decided to do his part and told Obama that they would no longer fund his trips to the golf course until he opened the tours back up.

Wouldn't a 2% reduction in hours equal a 2% cut in spending?   Besides, the overall spending is increasing, right?

I wish we could ground Air Force one until a budget is passed. I imagine if we did that he would be on the horn with Harry Reid demanding a budget right away.
