Dallas man says the July 4th flag he bought has 61 stars
   
Like many Americans, Tim Childress of Dallas bought an American flag to help celebrate the Fourth of July.

He was a little taken aback, however, when he found that the flag bought at a Dollar Tree store not only has the requisite 50 stars denoting the states, it tacks on an extra 11 stars, WFAA-TV reports.

"You can kind of see the stars are all crooked, and if you count them, there's actually 61 stars," he said.

Childress concedes he paid only a dollar for the flag but says the Dollar Tree and the Virginia marketing company could do a bit better, and he sent them an e-mail pointing out the error.

It's not so much the Chinese they hate...I mean after all they share identical political philosophies...it's more that they hate Bill Clinton and the DLC and this is how they express said hatred without getting banned.

Hey DUmbasses!  My parents own a flag business, and nearly all the new customers, whether in person/phone/internet ask whether their flags are made in the United States.  To my folks' knowledge, they've never in 40 years sold an American flag that was made anywhere but the good ol' US of A.  It's not that hard to find out.  Most companies are still proud to be manufacturing in the United States.
