Record 89,304,000 Americans 'Not in Labor Force' -- 296,000 Fewer Employed Since January
March 8, 2013
By Elizabeth Harrington
(CNSNews.com) - The number of Americans designated as "not in the labor force" in February was 89,304,000, a record high, up from 89,008,000 in January, according to the Department of Labor. This means that the number of Americans not in the labor force increased 296,000 between January and February.
From the administration - only the chirping of crickets (http://cnsnews.com/news/article/record-89304000-americans-not-labor-force-296000-fewer-employed-january)

Like most controversial reports and information from the government, the bottom line is twisted, distorted, obfuscated and outright manipulated to present the POV that the government wants people to swallow.
And it works.
Lies. Damned lies. And statistics.

I look at it this way--when the number of people employed equals the number employed BEFORE the 2008 recession, then maybe, just MAYBE, this administration can claim there's some sort of "recovery." But thus far, in the FOUR YEARS since the recession ended, the economy has only added HALF the jobs lost. At no point since the records were kept has it taken this long to recover.
This is, quite literally, the worst economy since the Great Depression. In some ways, it's WORSE.

I am not trying to lessen the impact of the Obamaconomy.
But I am wondering the impact of Baby Boomers retiring will have from about now and for the next 18 years.
The Baby Boomers would have started retiring last year and will continue for the next 18 years.

There has been some impact, but the Obamaconomy has made it worse. More people are opting to take early retirement than has been the norm in the past. I would also guess that baby boomers make up a portion of those people going on disability too.

I guess it depends upong how many people we have going into the workforce to replace those retiring. This was one of the reasons Europe allowed so much immigration. Their birthrates weren't supporting the increasing costs of their social programs.

They're trying to get rid of something like 20 percent of the workforce here. Starting with "voluntary" buyouts of anyone at least 56 years old with something like 15 years in the company.
Anyone with an ounce of sense has got to know if you're over 56 and leave your job, good luck getting another one, certainly not at a salary near what you're making now.

Unfortunately, a lot of those immigrants are like the illegal ones here, a drain of the economy and social services.

I have 7 years to decide about early retirement and I'll have to see what it looks like at that time.

Health care costs are the big elephant in the room with sky high insurance costs even if you do not have pre existing conditions. Obamacare and health care costs for an individual purchasing private insurance will go thru the roof. Aetna Co, one of the largest health care companies, estimates an increase in costs of 20% to 100% for millions of Americans in 014 when Obamacare is fully implemented. Gotta pay for those f....ing illegals, welfare queens with bastard children and the able bodied sprockets that will not work, etc.

Our union contract ends in December. Many of the major portions of Obamacare kick in next January.
Yeah, you see where this'll end up. Merry Friggin Christmas.

Our contract was settled in 2011 with a 5 year contract and it was the first time ever. The company wanted a long contract to avoid ObamaCare as long as possible I think.

Yeah, well, one of the things you're going to be seeing a lot more of is larger companies saying to hell with it, and paying the fine so they can dump our coverage.
I'm not so sure they'll even give us any kind of supplemental to enable us to get our own--for instance, when I was with SCE, we had "flex dollars" which covered 80-90 percent of the CHEAPEST plans for various coverage, and if you wanted a more comprehensive or better plan, you paid the difference out of your own pocket.
Here, I think we'll just get our asses kicked to the curb.

I think when more union members are kicked to the curb by companies, they will start to see how the unions screwed them by supporting ObamaCare without even knowing it's full effects.

How much is the amount of the fine for not supplying insurance?

How much is the amount of the fine for not supplying insurance?
The fine is $95 per month or it will be means tested on your income. That is amount you will pay if you are single and make around $45k or around $80k for a couple. If you make more than that, the figure would go up.
The thing I find hilarious is that those millions of illegals and welfare queens will have to sign up for it and fill out a 12 page application. These mental midgets can not fill out a one page 1040EZ tax form. H & R Block might make a killing. The government will start educating the public 3 or 4 months before Jan. 1 of next year. Good luck with that and it should be a toot. Those rules apply only to those who do not have insurance or those that minimable insurance.

If this were the flight path of a plane, I'd be drinking all the booze the plane had to offer.
Notice when the BIG "dive" began........after 1/09.

Definitely difficult to miss the "Big Dive".
The asswipe in the White House has everything to do with that.

We seriously need to get this guy, out of office. He is destroying this country!!
