KSDK - Arizona Senator John McCain used a rally her to further introduce the faithful to his vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin, the Alaskan governor.

McCain's organizers rounded up more than 20 thousand people on a hot Sunday afternoon, and for those who stuck it out, they were treated to lots of information about Palin.

Senator McCain first talked about Hurricane Gustav, and how it will affect the Republican convention. The GOP doesn't want to seem unaffected by what may be an epic storm, so they're planning to tone down the partying in St. Paul. The senator says the convention may be about setting aside political hats, and exchanging them work hats that may be needed in areas hit by the hurricane.

Romney and Huckabee were there campaigning for McCain.  No mention of any free rock concerts or beer.

Personally, I'm surprised he didn't walk into the Gulf and cool the oceans.
