The Marine - The Ultimate Welfare Queen
Well, it's that time of year again where progressives fall all over each other on behalf of the agents of the warfare state.
I, for one, don't buy it. Now, to be clear I am not talking about anyone drafted to fight in a war. I am talking about the volunteers for the Warfare state.
So a guy graduates high school. He volunteers for the Marines. Get's
his shit paid for by the taxpayer. On Veterans day he puts on his
uniform and bums free pancakes and later at some bar people will buy
him drinks.
Semper Fi! Thank you for your service!
He has a few career paths from there.
Maybe he gets his college paid for by the taxpayer, maybe not.
Maybe he goes on to work for a defense contractor and has his salary
ultimately paid for by the taxpayer. Maybe he stays in the Corps 20
years or whatever.
He then goes on to suck off the taxpayer tit for the rest of his life
when he retires.
He loves putting on his marine corps jacket or hat though and bumming
free drinks off of people.
Meanwhile it is amusing because at the bar he sits around and
complains about welfare leeches and other "liberals" who leech off of
the government in some form or another. He complains about "Obamacare"
while he gets his VA benefits.
He hasn't protected us from anybody. To the contrary, people dislike
us because of assholes like him.

paolo123, since you feel so passionate about this subject, I suggest, no I encourage you to share your thoughts on this matter at MCRD in San Diego, Parris Island in South Carolina, Camp Pendleton in Oceanside or any other U.S. Marine installation. The Marines are fair and considerate guys and i'm sure they would be willing to listen and buy you a drink at any bar in any of those towns I mentioned above. Just stop by a watering hole in a Marine town that is full of Marines and let your true feelings flow.

Just a few minor observations from a no shit, retired Sailor:
- I don't doubt this DUmbass disgraced our Country's sea going service at one point in its worthless life; I ran into many shitheads who were there for a paycheck and "benefits". These weasels were easy to spot when the shit hit the fan and required more effort than they were used to putting out.
- Those of us who took what we did seriously understood that what most on the outside considered "free", we payed for many times over.
- Divisional "anchors" like this DUmmie were easy to spot: Normally doing the most menial of jobs (so as to not interfere with those who were accomplishing something), while bitching the loudest about how much they carried the shop on their backs.
- Likely had its "military career" crushed by some senior non-com who required it to do more than take up a billet.
