I'm like my dad....just fix it woman and put it on the table, I'll eat just about anything.

Yup.

Add Brussels sprouts to that shitheap aka "vegetable".

You have to hold a gun to my head to get me to eat fish. Not crazy about fresh fish as it is, but then you let it sit for a week and then try to get me to eat it and I'll puke it right back in your lap.

Bugs? Like lobster, crab, scallops, mussels, squid, crawdads?  :rotf: Not just "No," but "HELL NO!"

Peas? Good to go. Broccoli? Preferably raw, yepper. Cauliflower, same thing.

For the most part, once you start cooking vegetables, it's game over, buddy. Pack up your shit - you're outta here.

lobster, crab, scallops, my favorite food.  :yahoo:

My mother would make me eat pickled beets and I would get sick.

She always got pickled PIGS FEET for good luck on New Years Eve.  :thatsright:

Mine have been covered by others- cucumbers, lima beans; but add to that creamed corn.

My spousal unit can't handle pig's feet.  I like them, but on the rare occasion I get to eat them, I have to do all the preparation: boiling, broiling, etc.  The one time I convinced her to try them (she admitted they smelled really good), she threw them back up onto the living room floor.   :hammer:

I forgot about that one. It's terrible.

I really don't like okra prepared any way,  although I'll eat it in gumbo or if my mom fries it.  I really only like the fried batter though.

I also don't like raw tomatoes, except in pico de gallo or salsa. I often look at them and wish I did. They look  great but I just can't take the taste.

I love tomatoes cooked in things though.

I'm the same way about tomatoes, but even pico de gallo is to "tomatoey" for me.  I don't like sweet potatoes, cooked carrots, or cooked peas, I don't like my vegetables to be sweet. I will eat raw carrot or peas happily though.

This is probably the worst thing I ever ate.  I'd rather die than have that taste in my mouth again:

Canned and boiled silkworm pupae.  Words cannot come close to describing how nasty these were.  Perhaps if you think of a savory boiled sock that has been steeped in bug juice and formaldehyde, you might come close.

I choked down most of a can at a cabin we were staying at, but finally threw out the rest behind the back porch.  The raccoons that were scavenging around the back porch wouldn't even touch the remainder.

I wouldn't try pico when I was younger because I thought I would not like it. Glad I took the risk.

I didn't think I liked sweet potatoes until I tried them fried as chips. A place in Dallas serves them this way. Yum.  Sweet potato fries are pretty good too. Otherwise, no thanks.

The worst thing I've eaten was cold canned octopus.  I has this oddball science teacher in the 7th grade who brought in a can of the stuff and passed it around the class.  Nasty, nasty stuff.

Judging by what came out of my cat when I got him, bugs don't taste very good.

They sure don't smell very good.

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't tried it.  I'm going to have to track down a Robert Burns day celebration some time to try it.

I was served it in Edinburgh.  It is truly foul.

Not enough Scotch.

I don't think there could possibly be enough Scotch to wash that down.
