This is gonna be good even thought there is only one reply:

Help me
I'm sitting at a bar and the guy next to me just told me that he had a hard time figuring out who the Republican who were running for judges were because he always votes GOP. Btw he has some medical issues, gets some government help, and he gets his news from Fox.

Good God in BUTTER what is the matter w/ people?

Btw as a kid I used to live next door to the Republican Governor of PA's brother and Gov. Ray Shafer was as fine of man as you would ever meet. And he was a Republican too.

This is good as well:

I just realized something..... it's the evening of election day and DU is up !!!!!!!!
Now I can spend the evening with my like minded online friends, either whining or (hopefully) gloating about how the election went. That was kind of an empty feeling two years ago, hopefully it's never repeated.

Truth be told, I'm now in a deep red county in a deep red state.... but we did send a Democrat to the Senate in a special election!!!!

I'd like to say that I voted a straight Democratic ticket, but that's technically not true. For state senate we had a repub and an Independent on the ballot, the Independent being a former state chair of the Democratic party. I've read that he actually has a shot at winning, so maybe my vote will make a difference in this red state.

Anyway, I'm holding out hope that we can once again say "Speaker Pelosi" !!!!!!!

6. That switched from a 39 seat gain to a 20 seat gain awfully fast

They have it back at 24 now, but that corresponds to what I just heard James Carville saying on MSNBC. It's apparently going to be close if we're going to take the house. Though, I wonder if the Democrats do well out west, if the numbers can pick up again. 538 projected 6 Democratic pick ups in Cali.

Quote

7. This is what an apparent 538 staffer is saying

You may have noticed that our real-time forecast has moved toward Republicans in the House. It’s being too aggressive, in my opinion. The model sees that a bunch of “likely Republican” districts (particularly in Florida) are now 100 percent likely to go red. But there hasn’t been the chance for Democrats to clinch many equivalent likely Democratic districts.

Hang on folks!!! This is gonna be fun!!!!

Election Protection hotline has received over 17,500 calls with voter problems
The nonprofit Election Protection hotline said it had received more than 17,500 calls as of Tuesday afternoon from voters who experienced issues at their polling sites, the Associated Press reported.

Kristen Clarke, the president of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, told the AP that the figures were comparable to those reported during the 2016 presidential election, but were higher than the number of calls it received in the 2014 midterm elections.

In 2014, the hotline had received about 10,400 calls as of the same time, according to the AP.

Clarke told the AP earlier Tuesday that, for the first time ever, voters can also text the hotline about problems they experience Tuesday.

There's no blue wave tonight. We're losing every "reach" race. If we take the House, it will be by a thin margin.

2016 could be dismissed as a fluke, people voting for a joke candidate because they were disenchanted with the system. But this is a conscious embrace of Trump and everything he stands for. We are living through a very dark time.

I just hope we can win the House. And we are going to need an exceptional candidate to beat Trump in 2020. Now we will hear trump gloating for two years. If we don't take the house then we can safely say that Trump has more support then I imagined. I'm more unhappy now then two years ago.

A large part of this country would vote for Trump again and again as long as they think he'll get them an extra few bucks in their pockets. They all know he's a world class asshole and pathological liar, but they don't give a rats ass as long as they're a few cents richer in April. Pathetic.

Well it is the day after the election and I have some observations:

1. Back in 2006 and 2008 the dems were gonna control everything for a generation. Come 2010, the pundits were predicting that the dems was gonna increase the majority.  Yeppers they increased the majority alright... for the GOP... in historic proportions. This was with POSITIVE media coverage of obumbles and the dems.

2. Did anyone not expect the dems to take the house? The MSM was cheerleading the dems cause DAMMIT!!! Trump dares fight back at us!!!  How unfair!!!!  And it was gonna be a BLUE WAVE that would repudiate Trump cause DAMMIT!!! we decide whether the damned GOP president gets to stay in power.

So what happened? Blue tsunami wave? Nope. Blue high tide maybe... not a tsunami  though.  Senate increased to the GOP... which was expected... so it is kind of a wash.

3. Did this refute President Trump? Not one bit. Personally I think the dems are like the dogs that catch the car they are chasing. If they don't impeach, they are gonna hear about it from the left. The sane ones know it will hurt them in 2020. Got them between a rock and a hard place.  Fun to watch the dem leadership squirm.

4. If the economy goes south, and we are due for a recession, President Trump will be able to tout it was cause the dems got the house.

5. In 2020, no matter the economy, the left is gonna flex their muscles in the primary and get some socialist in as their candidate. An unabashed one.  Which Trump will destroy.

Feel free to add your observations, Cave Dwellers. I know the dummies are reading this.   :cheersmate:
